I think we can prepare for global warming the same way were taught to prepare for a nuclear blast in the 1950s: huddle under a desk, cover our heads, and kiss our butts goodbye.
I imagine what will happen is that we'll deal with things as they happen and hope that we are able to make the adjustments as we go. That doesn't sound like much of an approach to me, but on the other hand seeing the problem is a lot easier than having to deal with a solution which is bound to be unevenly oppressing.

Everybody is entitled to my opinion.

So, yes on the nucleation, no on the cloud formation.
You are absolutely right. I apologize for not adding even more waffle words in summarizing the support for a link between solar activity and global warming in the CERN report.

Warm Beer.
Warming is happening faster than models expected.
Get into the English mode now. Warm beer is in our future.

Just to clarify before I attempt to respond: is this your oblique reference to the idea that we need to live substantially different lifestyles in order to forestall global warming?

No. We will be living substantially different lifestyles much sooner than we had thought because global warming is here now, will get warmer over the coming decades faster than we had thought and will not be curbed no matter what we do.
If we stop poisoning our world today the problem may not get as bad as it would if we continue to ignore the issue. But, at this point, even if we stopped crapping in our nest immediately, we will be facing a much different world than the one we know and love much sooner than we had expected.
Adapt or die.

Oh, I gotcha. Sorry, I took your prescription of warm beer a bit too literally. (Also, if you're not chilling your beer, English or otherwise, you're doing it wrong.)

That will be $236.87 for the month please. And do enjoy it while you have it. Next decade that will triple (after inflation).

Yeah, it was a 103o here yesterday, the day before that and today as well. We've been having a bit of a cool spell this last week. Another round of 106o+ for a week or so then we will finally get to open the windows again.

Re: Warm Beer.
Unlike central NC, its 84 here with 76% humidity, you cant walk 50 feet without breaking a sweat. I run the ac just to help keep humidity down along with a dehumidifier. I am on an equal payment plan and my current bill runs $80.00 a month now, it will go up to $120.00 during the winter? Sort of reverse of the usage. I heat with gas, water is also gas. I like the equal payment plans, I know what to expect, my gas is set up like that also.

Oh that is bad.
Like Golden Ratio said above, here at 103o, 106o, 112o, it is a dry heat (less than 15%). When I moved out here last century I was dreading the summer heat but was surprised at how somewhat less than absolutely horrible it was. I can empathize with you - too many years in Houston.
