A Few Facts
For anyone interested in reality (sorry Buz, that leaves you out), a few facts about the Occupiers:
... 70 percent of the survey’s 1,619 respondents identified as politically independent, far-and-away the vast majority, compared to 27.3% Democrats and 2.4% self-identified Republicans.
...
Less than a quarter of the sample (24.2%) had participated in the Occupy Wall Street protests as of October 5, 2011.
...
64.2% of respondents were younger than 34 years of age, but one in three respondents was over 35 and one in five was 45 or older.
...
A full 15.4% of the sample reported earning annual household income between $50,000 and $74,999. Another 13% of the sample reported over $75,000 , and 2% said they made over $150,000 annually, putting them in the top 10 percent of all American earners, according to the Wall Street Journal’s calculator. That said, 47.5% of the sample said they earend less than $24,999 dollars a year and another quarter (24%) reported earning between $25,000 and $49,999 per year. A whopping 71.5% of the sample earns less than $50,000 per year.
...
92.1% of the sample reported some college, a college degree, or a graduate degree.
...
50.4% reported full-time employment, and an additional 20.4% were employed part-time....

The much more interesting question is why it is that you believe they actually are doing those things.

Maybe it's different in America, but in the UK we are allowed to take time off from work and spend the money we have earned.

They are not protesting business or capital enterprise, they are protesting income inequality and pointing out that if they wish to live the American Dream, they need to move to Denmark or Norway or Sweden.
Note that the lowest quality of life among developed nations is in the ....USA.

Re: Best way to Occupy Wall Street
But the only difference between the new groups and ACORN is the names, Issa said.
Issa is clearly inaccurate and biased; as you'll recall he originally led the trumpted-up charges against ACORN that led to the organization being defunded for partisan reasons. Issa is referring to organizations that haven't "gone anywhere" because they were never ACORN; saying that they're somehow the same now as they were then is nonsense.
Your link does nothing to substantiate your assertion that ACORN is somehow responsible for OWS. (We know who organized Occupy Wall Street, Buz. It was organized jointly by the political organization "Adbusters", the NYC General Assembly, and participants from US Day of Rage. It's not a fucking secret, Buz.)
You need to read up and wise up before posting.
It's so nice to know you care about me, but that concern is better saved for yourself. Just to look at your greatest hits in the past two weeks or so, you've asserted "massive inflation" in a decade when the dollar has rarely been stronger; advocated simultaneously for "lower taxes" and Herman Cain's plan to raise taxes; turned your back on your fellow conservatives by voicing support for the insane, genocidal Lord's Resistance Army on the basis of knowing nothing about them except that Obama sent troops to fight them; implied that Wall Street hosts a residential community; and failed to glean simple information about the Occupy Wall Street movement that is on their Wikipedia page.
Nobody thinks I'm the one who doesn't know what he's talking about, here. Not even your fellow-traveler conservatives and creationists think you know anything. I continue to be amazed that it makes no impression on you at all.

Re: Best way to Occupy Wall Street
Did you even read the links? The government made laws after being asked by the banks and in their favor, doesn't matter if you vote democrate or republican since both obey Wall Street. The links made it obvious that it wasn't the government that came up with the laws (mark to fantasy and repeal of Glass-Steagal) but the banks asked for them and got them. You still didn't address that the banks STOLE the public.

Oakland
Utterly astounding. Tea Partiers show up and threaten people with loaded guns at health care debates; Tea Partiers attack peaceful Democratic demonstrators; Tea Partiers run amok in Wisconsin; none of that merits a police response beyond "move along, move along."
Oh, but complain about income inequality instead of a black president, and all of a sudden it's a full-on police riot. Unbelievable.
The Washington Post illustrated their story on the Oakland attack with a picture of a policeman stroking a kitten.
And gave it the headline "Protestors wearing out their welcome nationwide".
If they spin any harder they will be ripped apart by centrifugal force.

We surely need to take relativistic effects into account if we want to calculate the spin accurately.

Re: Oakland
According to Reddit, a Marine Corp veteran was shot in the face with a tear gas canister by Oakland PD.
They thought it was a rubber bullet at first. Apparently not. He's in critical condition.
Totally just cops petting kittens. Nothing to see here people, move along...
