Re: Who's best?
HUH?
What does being powerful have to do with being good, better or best?
AbE:
Consider the US and Canada.
Canada is quite frankly, a very weak nation that can't impose its will on anyone.
The US is very powerful and can and does impose its will on others.
Is the US therefore better than Canada?

The same say in what, exactly? UN resolutions are non-binding. The UN has precisely zero authority that doesn't stem from voluntary compliance with their requests.
LOL. That is changing as per Biblical prophecies of 19 centuries ago, i.e. the global government and marks, numbers monetary system, i.e. the New World Order, i.e. the 10 horned beast of Revelation. All of the recent presidents of both parties and particularly Barak Obama et al have been and continue to make it happen.

Please present the exact chapter and verse so that once again your claim can be examined.

It has everything to do with it. You are not more powerful if you are not better. The ability to maintain that power over a period of time is an excellent measure of what is better or best.

Re: Who's best?
Nonsense.
That is simply a measure of power and has nothing to do with quality of anything other than power.

Re: Who's best?
You are argueing against the success of natural selection. But it is not all dominance. The ability to cooperate is major factor.

No, I am saying that Natural Selection has nothing to do with good or best, or any quality.

Read chapter 13 of Revelation for details. I'm not debating it here. Been there and done that.

Could you give even a single example of it happening? By Obama or anyone else?

Re: Iran best watch its step
If I walk down the street brandishing a big sharp knife but doing no harm I will most likely be attacked by the authorities. Perhaps rightfully so.
"Brandishing" it could be construed as threatening harm, so anyone within reach of the knife could be vindicated in asking you to stop. Then if you don't either making you stop or asking someone else to do so.
The guy three blocks over and five down should see you through his binoculars, and with no one else asking him to, run down the street and jump on you.
But that all assumes you're brandishing it. If you are simply carrying it, even in the open, without any threatening moves, then there should be no reason to attack you.
I don't consider myself to be a war-monger. Are there no principals worth fighting for?
There are. Hypocricy does not seem to be one...at least to me.
Just that conventional war is just about as bad as any other kind.
I agree. War of any kind is bad. Therefore advocating one without cause would seem to be a bad thing.

Just when you thought it was safe to bury your head in the sand...
quote:
And you know it makes me wonder
What's going on under the ground...
Do you know? Don't you wonder?
What's going on down under you...
Newly discovered carnivorous plant devours underground worms
quote:
The carnivorous plant Philcoxia minensis resides in Serra do Cabral, Minas Gerais, Brazil (A), has some of its tiny leaves above ground (B), though most reside below ground (C & D) where they snag wormy snacks for the plant, helping the plant digest its meals.
Rafael Silva Oliveira, PNAS
Carnivorous plants fascinate me. We live near a rare, well-kept-secret (collectors are bastards) black spruce quaking bog, where the kingdom boundaries are crossed regularly by green raiding parties--but this Brazilian has novel tactics.
You'd think a pack of evolutionists would spend more time marveling at what evolution hath wrought.
Don't worry. Uncle Omni is here to serve.

You know it's your birthday when.....
....one cat poops in your son's bed, another throws up all over the carpets, your hubby is poorly with a tummy bug and you have a massive fight with son trying to get him to school on time (I failed). I've now sat down with a coffee and sung Happy Birthday to myself.
What's your worst birthday and why?
