After polls showing Stephen Colbert with 5% support (more than Hunstman's 4%), he has become a candidate in South Carolina, though in name only, he's too late to get on the ballot. He's asked people who support him, since SC has open primaries, to vote for Cain as a proxy vote for him.
Should be interesting to see how far Cain gets resurrected.

Apparently Turkey is ruled by Islamic terrorists. This is why they shouldn't receive U.S. government aid, which they don't.
70 million Turks think Rick Perry is an idiot, as does everyone else. In other Perry-related news 39% of Texan Republicans think he's hurting the image of their state. Now I'm trying to think of any Texan who's actually added luster to the fair name of Texas. Maybe some of their delicious cows.

Apparently the more laughable candidates are exiting first. Using funniness as a predictor, surely Newt will be next?
Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. The proper place to-day, the only place which Massachusetts has provided for her freer and less desponding spirits, is in her prisons, to be put out and locked out of the State by her own act, as they have already put themselves out by their principles. Aronra, Youtube user, outspoken Atheist, and creator of the Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism Youtube video series, reminds me that not all Texans are Rick Perry clones.
Here's part one: Also, I understand that Texans make some mean barbecue. The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion (either as being the received opinion or as being agreeable to itself) draws all things else to support and agree with it. - Francis Bacon "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." - John Rogers

In late breaking news, Santorum actually won Iowa, except that the votes from eight precincts haven't been counted yet, because, why? the volunteers ran out of fingers? so maybe he didn't.
In other news, Marianne Gingrich talks about how Newt wanted an "open marriage". Now, call me old-fashioned in my traditionalist view of polyamory, but it's not an open marriage unless you agree to it in advance. Finding out that your husband is cheating on you and then not divorcing him would not be "open", it would be apathetic. Perry, who has endorsed Gingrich, is of course full of Christian charity towards the gross whoremonger. "The fact is, there is forgiveness for those who seek God and I believe in the power of redemption, for it is a central tenet of my own Christian faith." Which is what every Republican always says when one of their own gets caught with his pants down. One would be more impressed by these pious pratings if any Republican had ever forgiven any Democrat for anything.

Have you pointed Chuck77 towards this? AnonRa lists some of the things that he needs to learn so that he can start to understand what evolution is.

After polls showing Stephen Colbert with 5% support You might find this interesting.Page not found - Public Policy Polling They found as a third-party candidate, his performance might not be too shabby: He'd pull in 13% of the vote, . In the hypothetical scenario, President Obama would get 41% and Mitt Romney 38%. Another thing is most of the supporters were pulled from Obama. I'm starting to think people just are not feeling Romney Edited by DC85, : No reason given.

I saw this video posted on my FB feed by United Atheist Front. I sludged through the comments, all of which were by avowed atheists, and I was the only one who saw a problem with this. I tip my hat to you, Ron Paul, you have fooled a lot of people into thinking you are the only reasonable one left even while you spout religious nonsense.
Mythology is what we call someone else’s religion. Joseph Campbell
