Trixie
Moving here from December.
Trixie Message 127 of Another anti-evolution bill, Missouri 2012 on the effect of throwing out the bathwater with the baby, and why religious fundamental fanatics should not have control of other people's lives.
marc is free to throw all science away and live his life without it, but he is not free to impose this lunacy on anyone else. As a parent he would be able to remove his children from science class but he would not be able to remove science from other people's children..
You tell it sista.
Enjoy

Larni Nails It
Short, simple, and to the point. A concise explanation of the biggest problem facing the U.S. today.

Re: Larni Nails It
Very kind!

The above ontological example models the zero premise to BB theory. It does so by applying the relative uniformity assumption that the alleged zero event eventually ontologically progressed from the compressed alleged sub-microscopic chaos to bloom/expand into all of the present observable order, more than it models the Biblical record evidence for the existence of Jehovah, the maximal Biblical god designer.
-Attributed to Buzsaw Message 53
The explain to them any scientific investigation that explains the existence of things qualifies as science and as an explanation
-Attributed to Dawn Bertot Message 286
Does a query (thats a question Stile) that uses this physical reality, to look for an answer to its existence and properties become theoretical, considering its deductive conclusions are based against objective verifiable realities.

Trixie
I would also like to nominate Trixie but for a different message. Message 352 in the Well this is awkward... Used to be a YEC for her summary of a derailed thread and the fundamental problems with the YEC position
agent_509 explained very clearly the false dichotomy that exists in YEC teaching, that its either YEC or atheism. His subsequent enlightenment shows just what that false dichotomy will lead to, should problems with the YEC position become apparent to believers.
As soon as a YEC realises the bullshit they've been fed, they lose faith in anything the YEC crowd has said to them in the past, as evidenced by agent_509.
Excellent summary Trixie!

Crashfrog cuts to the chase.

Sometimes argumentation, evidence, and setting out your opinion in a persuasive manner are just not enough. At such times, the sophisticated poster stops tip-toeing around and says what needs to be said.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. The proper place to-day, the only place which Massachusetts has provided for her freer and less desponding spirits, is in her prisons, to be put out and locked out of the State by her own act, as they have already put themselves out by their principles. Maybe one of the peanut gallery threads would be a better place for dryly sarcastic nominations. For more severe problems you could post a note to Report Discussion Problems Here 3.0.

Warthog On Health
I'd like to nominate new member Warthog for Message 177 in the The Irrefutable Public Health Care Thread
I appreciate that "Dark Oni" is deemed an annoying distraction by some. But much like those he is parodying I think if treated correctly he can act as a foil for more serious and constructive comment.
Anyway - Warthogs response is well written and the points well made.

Re: Warthog On Health
I'm flattered.
And more importantly I have found a method of coercing pseudo "Post of the Month" nominations for myself by subtly nominating those replying to same posts as me.
Result.
