Yes, some people have found it hard to come to terms with the fact that the word "President" is not synonymous with the word "wizard".The fact is that constitutionally the President is a nobody, it's not like he's Prime Minister. Immediately after the 2008 election I did the math and concluded that the most powerful person in the world was actually Olimpia Snowe. I was right.Given that, I think that Obama's done a good job.

Then it's funny he hasn't had more success in destroying this republic. I mean, it's still here, isn't it? The recession's over, taxes are lower, the stock market's recovered, unemployment is down, corporate profits are at an all-time high, inflation is low, we still have an auto industry, the Iraq war is over, Osama Bin Laden's dead, our standing in the world is considerably higher ... of course, there's a black man in the White House, and that's just wrong, but I think the republic can weather it. You guys do have it hard, don't you? You have to keep a straight face while simultaneously pretending that he's made root and branch changes to the very nature of our society and that he's hardly achieved anything. It would drive me nuts, but then you seem to have less to lose in that respect.
