Yes. If you were to claim that paedophilia should be encouraged then people would openly criticise you.

Yeah! Those poor paedophiles should be given a break!

There are no taboo points of view that I know of; perhaps you could tell us what those taboo points of view are?

Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

. The contraception is more likely to fail with more times of use. If you are not sure contraception will keep you safe from pregnancy, it is less likely you will engage in extra marital sex 365 days a year.
Bullshit. You fundies spout crap like this and have no evidence except what feels correct to you to back up crap like this.

What's wrong with having extramarital sex for 365 days a year? Anyone who's able to do that deserves a medal. From my perspective, as a man, go for it, all you studs. Sex is very, very satisfying.
foreveryoung, there's nothing wrong with two unmarried, unattached and consenting adults having sex. As long as nobody else gets hurt, and responsible sex is performed, it's actually to be highly recommended.
With responsible sex I mean things like contraception being used to prevent unwanted pregnancies, etc.
I've been married for more than 25 years now and I still would like to be able to have sex for 365 days a year with my wife. Life gets in the way of doing it, though. And, foreveryoung, we've had our kids and don't want any more of them; therefore we use contraception. It's been working since we started using contraceptives. 23 years ago!

is true. Contraception leads to a false sense of security. If you think you are safeguarded from pregnancy, you are less likely to think twice before having sex outside of marriage.
It's been close to two decades since I've wanted to have any more children. According to your logic, my wife and I should be practicing abstinence inside of marriage.
I think not...

And trust me
there is also the issue of sex after menopause
why is a natural contraceptive okay but one used by choice not?
What about condoms as prevention of disease transmission between married partners, one with HIV?
There are so many reasons for allowing people to make their own choice, rather than have it decided by some religious group trying to impose their values on everyone while everyone else allows them to behave according to their values.
Making condoms available does not mean forcing people to use them.
Enjoy.

To start with, I see you using the same kind of logic as in that old carnard, "Morality only makes sense if God exists, so if there were no God I would be an axe murderer." Just because contraception removes one of the worries of vaginal sex (both intra- and extra-marital) does not automatically mean that we would immediately go on an extramarital sex binge. Why would we? Why would we want to? It's like the mistaken that lack of belief in God automatically leads to irresponsible behavior -- just because we're not answerable to a fictional character (the atheist's view) does not even begin to mean that we are not answerable for our actions. For millennia, lack of contraceptives had little effect on extramarital sex, so their availability would have little different effect. So the claim about the effects of contraception on human behavior is one of those off-the-wall claims that makes our eyes roll and our heads shake in disbelief at what some people will believe. As well as do comedians' joke writing for them.
And as others have pointed out already, most of the sex involving contraceptives is within the marriage. Because sex is part of a couple's intimate relationship, not just for procreation.
Though last night on Bill Maher's Real Time at about 27 minutes in, panel member Catherine Crier cited Santorum as advocating "sex only within marriage and only for procreation" and called upon women to give the Republicans exactly what they want, no sex except within marriage and then only for procreation. She predicts that in a very short time Republicans will be lining up in favor of women's issues.
Precedents:
Crier cited women in South America having gone on a sex strike to protest violence. I kind of remember having heard of that, but don't know the details.
Aristophanes' comedic play, Lysistrata, first performed in 411 BCE:
quote:
... a comic account of one woman's extraordinary mission to end The Peloponnesian War. Lysistrata persuades the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands and lovers as a means of forcing the men to negotiate peace -- ...
PS
If you have access to the program (on HBO this entire week), notice that Bill Maher basically ignores Crier's proposal both times she brings it up. Guess he has a horse in that race and doesn't like the thought of being cut off.
But just think of what could happen if the women of America were to answer her call.

Also a sex strike in Kenya which successfully reconciled feuding factions.
But does the end really justify the means?

Women Hate Republicans For Some Reason
Centrist Women Tell of Disenchantment With Republicans, from the NYT.
Even Romney trails Obama by 20 points among women.
So, maybe they'll change their minds about making contraception their big issue. How about the economy? It was going to be their big talking point that Obama hadn't completely cleaned up the mess caused by the Republicans. The only problem is that by November he may well have done so. Here's Rick Santorum:
You hear now the media starting to say, oh well, looks like the economy is getting better. You know, the economy may be getting better and Republicans may lose their edge on that issue. Well, if that was the only issue in this race, that may or may not be the case, we don’t know.
So what next? Ooh, Santorum has an idea. Iran! Because last time the Republicans started a war against imaginary Weapons Of Mass Destruction, it made them sooo popular, they should definitely try that again?
No? Well, what's left. I know, how about making teleprompters illegal?

Seems like in Alabama and Mississippi Santorum is narrowly in the lead, over Newt Gingrich. Which I guess tells you everything you need to know about Alabama and Mississippi. Not that I'm going to indulge in crude regional stereotypes, because you can make your own without my assistance.

If anything, this race proves just how delusional republicans are. They're voting to keep someone like Santorum on top, someone who has absolutely no chance at all with the moderates.
