these were brought up as scientific frauds by some creationists in another discussion:
Ignoring whether these are frauds or not, what is the relevance?
Would a few fraudulent scientists disprove science?
Would a few fraudulent preachers disprove religion?
I can find lists of both.
IMHO, it just proves that humans can be dishonest.

My bad.
I should have gone to bed and not posted.
(I still stand by my comment, but I can now see that it was off-topic.)

And some are dishonest in a way that gets them money or fame.
I often feel that the fame is more important to them than the money (but they do usually want both).

So the fact that Haeckel committed fraud does not alter reality, and the evidence of evolution.
To quote an earlier response from you:

To qualify it only needs to be shown that it was done on purpose: the intent was to deceive.
Portillo is correct to list it as a scientific fraud.
Granted, the fraud has no effect on our current understanding of biological development - but that is not a requirement in this thread.

If I were you
And I wish that I were you

I know you don't ever support your claims, but...

Orce man - Found in 1982, Orce man was supposedly a 17 year old male who lived 1.6 million years ago. Later it was discovered to be the fossil of a donkey not a human.
No, it wasn't later discovered to be a donkey.

Tradition and heritage are all dead people's baggage. Stop carrying it!

Re: Fossils
ScottyDouglas writes:
It is quite easy to have a theory be assumed true when it can and does change to accept new evidence.
All scientific theories are like that.
ScottyDouglas writes:
If a theory can change and accept any evidence then it does not mean its true.
All scientific theories are like that.
ScottyDouglas writes:
That is nothing more than changeable theory to fit within the facts.
All scientific theories are like that.
ScottyDouglas writes:
Furthermore if evolution as exstintsive as you suggest not only should be view by all as fact.
Not even the Earth being spherical is viewed by all as a fact.
*shrug*
There's not much that can be done about deluded idiots.
ScottyDouglas writes:
Two comepletely different ideas of science and truth.
Correct.
Science does not deal with truth.
It deals with the best explanations for know facts.
Have you only just learned this?

Tradition and heritage are all dead people's baggage. Stop carrying it!
