Motivation for Denying God and Accepting Evolution

My father believed zealously in God. He also believed zealously that the earth is round and he believed zealously that men have walked on the moon. He believed zealously without any scientific reasoning whatsoever.So yes, it is hypothtically possible for somebody to believe zealously in evolution without any scientific reasoning. Of course, that isn't a reflection on the scientific basis for a round earth, men walking on the moon or evolution. It's a reflection on the person.
