I'll add my congratulations as well, even though I don't participate as often as some other posters. I will also offer up my soul and convert to creationism but only if I can become AdminGod. ------------------ He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife. - Douglas Adams, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Good start, not exaggerated enough. I'm borrowing the suggested signiture though. PS This is my first Admin post.

Nosy, as I see it, you are still often functioning as a moderator, under the NosyNed name. This is OK, and welcome, but we did stick you with that powerful "AdminNosy" persona, which is also available (and perferred?) for such activities. Cheers, Adminnemooseus

Very cool ned, congrats! You always seemed levelheaded to me, and that's the guy you give the gun to. ------------------ holmes

In my e-mail communications with the then yet to be AdminNosy, he expressed some opinions on where he though the focus of this forum should and/or shouldn't be going. I think I agree with those views, and encourage AdminNosy to bring them forward. In general, I think we need to tighten things up, and focus more on things creation and evolution. I have also (elsewhere) recently, and less recently, expressed a distaste for the "Free For All" forum. Discussion of that can be done at "Retire Free For All Forum?". Quoting myself:

Members may have noted that Ned has recently posted moderator type messages both as NosyNed and as AdminNosy. By his choice, Ned has full moderator powers only in the Cosmology and Dating forums. He, however, is still free (and IMO welcome) to offer up moderator guidence in any of the forums. Apparently he had done so, but has previously chosen to do such as NosyNed, in the forums he does not have full moderator powers in. I have encouraged him to do all his moderating, regardless of forum, under the AdminNosy name. This leaves him in a somewhat "grey" area situation, when he moderates as AdminNosy in the "non-full power moderator" forums. When AdminNosy posts in those forums, he is still listed as a moderator, even though he is only there as a "soft moderator". Cheers, Adminnemooseus

I'm trying to judge when to use the Admin name and avoid it when I am taking part in the discussion. If I think I'mm doing something purely admin-like I try to remember to change the name. Sometimes I forget I haven't had to use any admin powers yet so I'm sort of ignoring the forum boundaries. Any comments are welcome.

It seems to me there have been many non-moderator posts from you posted under AdminNosy. I find this rather confusing and out of kilter with the example set by the other admins. I think you should, perhaps, consider correcting this. Oh, and BTW, grats on your new adminhood.

Yes, thank you Mr Jack. I have caught myself doing that more than once. Then I don't think I can change it after. I'm trying to get in the habit of checking with each post. Now, how about this one??? I can't figure out if it should be under this me or the other me.
