The appropriate way to express the new findings is simple: Marion Petrie's results could not be replicated.
Can the "new findings" be replicated? Until we know which findings are correct, it seems premature to conclude that "Darwinism cannot explain the peacock".

You can claim that any trait which is better suited for fitness will get passed on, but then if one asks why peacock trains would get passed on, you will say....
What I would say is, "Why is that trait passed on, if it appears to be worse suited for fitness?"
It does seem obvious that those individuals best suited for survival will survive. Are you seriously questioning that?

Are you still feeling hurt because you can't reconcile why men would like woman with big breasts if they seek child- like woman?

In case you hadn't noticed the OP is about bad science bias, and traits that are not likely to be useful in the survival quest.
You seem to be thinking backwards. The traits that exist in a population are the ones that are most useful for survival. The question isn't why peacocks survive despite the obvious disadvantage of their long trains. It's why the long trains are a net advantage.

You ignore, of course, the fact that the Law of Gravity has been falsified.
None of your examples "falsifies" the Law of Gravity. New observations often require the theory of gravity to be tweaked. That's how science works.

All you need to do is pick up a dictionary (try dictionary.com) and you'll see that the word "scientist" got added to the dictionary in 1834.
You're kidding, right? You accidentally posted that here instead of the Humour forum, didn't you? You can't be seriously suggesting that something doesn't exist until it's defined in the dictionary.
Newton and Galileo were scientists because they did science. It doesn't matter what they were called.

And that’s just one of the reasons why Galileo was such a great scientist, right?
Are you suggesting that Galileo was not a scientist because his first hypothesis was wrong? Assuming that your version of the story is accurate, Galileo was certainly part of the scientific process. Even if he didn't come up with the "correct" answer himself, his hypothesis prompted others to question his reasoning and, eventaully, to propose better hypotheses.
Yes, that is how science works, by being wrong and then figuring out why you were wrong.
