Re: First Amendment Violations
The Puritans treated the Quakers and most other non-Anglicans as heretics, and heresy was treason.
My understanding was that the earlier Quakers could be much more provacative and confrontational than we would currently assume.
Still, Puritan response would never be measured.

Re: First Amendment Violations
I don't know enough about Dominionism and Reconstructionism to get into their theology except that they seem to believe that the world is going to become Christian before the Lord returns, so that we are supposed to be working to make the world Christian, WHICH I DO NOT BELIEVE.
That is the question of pre-millennialism (belief that the Christ will return before the Millennium starts) and post-millennialism (belief that the Christ will return after the Millennium starts). Dominionist and Reconstructionists are post-mills while conservative/evangelical/fundamentalist Christians and many other Christian denominations are pre-mills; the Religious Right is very strongly pre-mill. Pre-mills vastly outnumber post-mills. This pre-mill/post-mill theological difference is a definite bone of contention between the two camps. Yet despite that basic theological difference that drives them apart, the Religious Right has bought into the post-mill political plan whole-heartedly.
Faith, why don't you bother to read what is posted? I already explained all that and you are complaining against the observation that your statements in this topic have been almost identical to the Dominionist/Reconstructionist political party line because you don't believe in post-millennialism. Nobody has been talking about that, but rather about their political plans that has become a fundamental part of the Religious Right's agendae.
Try paying attention for once in your life!

Re: First Amendment Violations
But in this case I feel like the "disagreement" has become manipulative and not at all just a disagreement but more like "do you still beat your wife" that is being invented and imposed on me and has nothing to do with anything I've said.
That is a complete and utter lie! We are trying to get you to tell us just what the hell you're talking about! And you refuse to clarify anything.
Go take your break, but use that time to do something really novel for you: think!
Think about your claim that teachers' religious rights are being violated. Come up with some actual examples to support that claim. Your ridiculous nonsense about teachers being turned in Congress is not an example. If you are not able to come up with any actual examples to support that claim, then admit it and retract the claim. If you cannot come up with any actual example and refuse to retract the claim, then be ready to explain why.
Also think about what it would take to implement the First Amendment so that our religious rights will be protected on all levels of government. If you do not believe that citizens' civil rights should not be protected on all levels of government, then start so clearly and explain why. If you do believe that those rights should be protected, then state so clearly and unequivocally.
It's as simple as that. Truthfulness and honesty, the things that you persist in fighting against.
You also now claim that you agree with James Madison. So show us. Quote from A Memorial and Remonstrance to illustrate what you agree with him on and explain why you agree with him. Simple, honest, and truthful.

Re: First Amendment Violations
No, we keep trying to figure out just what you are trying to say. As you persist in refusing, we have to start asking, "Do you mean this?" No answer. "OK, do you mean this?" Again no answer or even more confused nonsense.
Think about what you want to say and then say it clearly and we won't have to try to guess. Yet again, you're the one creating this mess, so don't complain to me about it but rather clean it up!
One common piece of advice is to not blame on malice that which could be due to sheer stupidity. But certainly there is a limit to how stupid and utterly clueless a person could be. And you have repeatedly expressed malice and unreasoning hatred for everybody who don't think and believe in exactly the same way as you do. So turn off the hatred and try to turn on your brain. You'll be amazed at the difference that will make.

Re: Tyranny
Faith, here is the fundamental problem that we all are experiencing here. You have been telling us what you want. But the problem is that you keep telling us something completely different! You keep contradicting yourself. So anybody who has been trying to keep track of what you actually think and belief becomes terminally confused because you keep changing your mind! Just what the hell are you talking about?
Yes, that's what I want, a state where Christianity rules but that nobody is denied basic rights.
Bullshit!
You have repeatedly told us that everybody else would be deprived of their basic rights, such as voting. Just exactly how does that not deprive them of their "basic rights"? In fact, the very basis of the original Tea Party has always been trumpeted as a protest against "taxation without representation." And your own personal pipe-dream/wet-dream is to deprive a vast portion of the population from representation by explicitly depriving them of representation in your wet-dream "utopia".
All the accusations that I want a tyranny are false, I just want to be free of ideologies I despise and I wanted to see how far it might be possible to do something like that without depriving anyone of their rights.
Bullshit!
You very specifically called for other religious ideas to be qualified as criminal. That means that individuals who held those religious views would be criminals! Subject to criminal prosecution! Which completely contradicts your current bullshit contradiction of your previous statements.
You fucking lying bitch!
Oh! But you have a "defense". You are a completely clueless bitch. You have absolutely no idea what you have been posting on this topic! You are an incredibly clueless stupid bitch whose cranial neurons have not fired even once in the past two decades.
Sorry, but I do not buy that stupid excuse, not one single bit!
And again I'd mention the fact that some religions are tyrannical at the core, with designs to rule the world, and that Protestantism is not one of them.
No, Protestantism is most decidedly not not one of them.
The Radical Religious Right's designs on us Americans (a group with which I'd be very sorely tasked to include you) most decidedly excludes them from your evaluation.
Giving them political power uin a Protestant state would be like inviting the wolves to devour the sheep
Giving Protestants such power will surely result in the same thing!
In Muslim countries you aren't allowed political power if you aren't a Muslim, and it would be stupid for them to allow it because they want to keep their state Muslim. But if I want a Christian state, which in my conception would be quite peaceloving and generous, I get accused of all kinds of terrible motivations I simply do not have.
You have been most explicit about that. Absolutely nobody who is not of the absolute same religious belief and affiliation as yourself would be accorded any kind of civil rights whatsoever. Which is to say that your own Christian Taliban Government will be absolutely identical to any Muslim Taliban Government in any conceivable existence except for the "absolute" theological basis for that particular "HELL ON EARTH."
This government is BECOMING a tyranny, it's on its way there, although you apparently don't see it. Some of us have seen it coming for a long time.
Becoming a tyranny HOW?
By allowing those who believe differently from you to exist and even to flourish? To your mind, that is supposed to be a failure? A step towards tyranny? You are able to exist and flourish. I am able to exist and flourish. How is that supposed to be "tyranny"? You're babbling nonsense again! Are you free to post what exactly you think (regardless of how much you keep contradicting yourself)? Yes, you are. Am I free to pose what exactly I think? Yes, I am. So just what is your supposed problem? Do you think that you are free to post whatever you want to but I'm not allowed to do the same? Well fuck you very much!
Freedom is freedom. You have your freedom and I have mine. We may both disagree with each other, but we can still express ourselves freely. And, hey, we could individually benefit from an exchange of ideas.
A "tyranny"? Really? Are you serious? OK, I realize that you are completely out of touch with reality, but ... really? You are that out of touch with reality?
Having given up on a theocracy, however, I could still consider the feasibility of red states seceding.
Yes, me too.
And when that happens, we will see "Hell on Earth" open up wider that you could ever hope it to. Every evil thing that Christianity has ever dared to dream of would become a reality. But the most satifisfying Protestant Christian atrocity would be for the prevailing Christian government that you have so lusted after to proclaim you to be apostate and to comdemn you for that crime. And you, in your typical cluelessnessm, would go to your doom with no comprehension of what you had done wrong. How utterly poetic!

1.25% property tax on 6 million dollar home.
You have a 6 million dollar home?
Care to tell us about it?
In California, my residence is worth about 3-4 hundred thousand dollars.
So please tell us what it's like to have a 6 million dollar home.

Re: Tyranny
Interesting thing about the Second Coming. It don't come!
Word is it that early Christians wouldn't plant any trees, because none of them would ever possibly reach maturity to bear any fruit. Two thousand years ago!
The Second Coming wasn't in their generation. What makes you think it's in yours? Like a "thief in the night", you have absolutely not idea whatsoever. What do you think you are holding out for? If you had held out 2000 years ago to absolutely not avail, what makes you think that holding out now to absolutely no avail makes any difference?
And in the meantime, the normals look upon you and shake their heads in sadness. And vow to themselves to forsake such utter foolishness.
It's your witness!

Complete and utter nonsensical blatherings.
Care to make an actual statement that is deserving of a response?
