This probably belongs in the coffee house even though some people believe in capitalism like people believe in Jesus.
Robotics and programming have been slowly eating away jobs, even though they created some jobs they took many more away like before PC's or copiers a firm needed many secretaries just to copy contracts or retype them nowadays one secretary clicks with a mouse and numerous copies come out 100 times faster. Car manufacturers are also a good example, how many more workers would one need if you take away all the robots in any factory.
So what happens if they make a robot that can do anything (work wise) a human can do only faster and better cheaper with no rest, no wages, no maternaty leave working 24/7/365.
How can capitalism function? Sure the company owners have all the product they want but only 10% of the people still have jobs to buy those products.
To scare you workaholic capitalists some more a video of a 4 year outdated old robot.
