Re: ...destroying their erroneous statements...
Just a case in point dude, u said "10 of 12 studies" it would really help ur case to provide a link or citation when u say things like that.
Although I'll admit I'm a n00b here but that seems to be a logical step that will elevate some of the critique of ur posts

Regretfully...
Hi Kofh2u,
I feel really torn because I can think of no nice way to say that no matter how wonderful might be the thoughts within your head, most everything you write is sheer nonsense, you understand almost nothing that anyone else writes, and you don't understand the most simple of concepts, most importantly of being on-topic.
I think the underlying problem is one of comprehension, and even as I write this I realize that this same problem will keep you from understanding most of what I've written here, so you will likely interpret this as you do most moderation, as bias and censorship.
I'm trying to think of simple analogies that might help you understand. How about you're like a bull in a china shop whose deafness and poor eyesight leaves him unaware of the carnage of china crashing to the floor.
Anyway, much as we would like you to have a positive experience here at EvC Forum, your right to freely express yourself in the manner you've chosen ends at other people's right to constructive and intelligent discussion, which we attempt to make possible here through enforcement of the Forum Guidelines. Your inability to recognize when your contributions are off-topic, and your inability to move a discussion constructively forward by actively engaging with the evidence and arguments from other participants, and your inability to interpret moderation as anything more than bias and censorship, means that your ability to contribute here will meet with increasing restraints in the form of participation restrictions and suspensions.
I'm very sorry, but this is the way it has to be in order for EvC Forum to best serve its goals of constructive and enlightening debate on topics related to the creation/evolution controversy.

Re: Rants are not going to work
Eli will insist that there are only 18 grouops of chemical families, for instnce, which has nothing to do with the thread theme of whether the Higgs God-particle has religious merit.
My post was in response to your claim that there are 12 chemical groups. Of course your claim had nothing to do with the thread. It never does.

Re: ...destroying their erroneous statements...
I like kofh2u's graphic organizers. At a glance I am able to instantly appreciate the forcelessness of his arguments.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846)
I would say here something that was heard from an ecclesiastic of the most eminent degree; ‘That the intention of the Holy Ghost is to teach us how one goes to heaven, not how the heaven goes.’ Galileo Galilei 1615.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. Frederick Douglass

Re: ...destroying their erroneous statements...
I don't think "organizers" is the correct word. More like "arbitrary placeholders for 22 quasi-related things."
(Yes, the spots in his all-encompassing graphic model are supposed to add up to 22... even though they actually break down into 23.)

Sure thing.
{Seemingly idiot replies to an admin in a "this is not a discussion topic" topic. - Adminnemooseus}
wtf?
I just acknowledged the request. No need to namecall or hide that I was acknowledging the request for your benefit, which, btw, is not discussing but a final close on the discussion. If you don't want a an acknowledgement, don't ask for one. Okay?
Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Hide and note.
Edited by Eli, : I don't appreciate being cockblocked and called "idiot" when it is obvious that I got it.

Re: This is not a discussion topic.
No harm intended. Moderators are people too and can become frustrated after the nth time they request no discussion in the problem reporting thread, but there will always be new members.
There's a little known feature of the site that permits acknowledgement without replying. At the bottom of each message is a link to the message replied to, and a list of links to the replies. At the bottom of this message you should see a section that looks like this:
This message is a reply to:
Message 157 by Eli, posted  You have not yet responded
The "You have not yet responded" portion should be a link (at the bottom of the message, not in the example above). If you hover over it you should get a hoverbox that says:
You have not yet responded to this message. If you choose not to respond then you may wish to mark this reply as noted by clicking on this link.
If you then click on the link the text will change to, "You have acknowledged this message."

Sunshaker off the chain
Message 32
Apparently Sunshaker has decided today that his 172 element periodic table is germane to multiple threads. I disagree.

Lost Topic
The "Bible Teachings or Traditions of Men?" thread has lost sight of the topic.
Thanks

He's starting to go too far
I know, I know. Alfred Maddenstein isn't worth the energy I'm spending to type this. And he's just an old troll who I shouldn't care about.
But in Message 232 he writes:
quote:
you quackademic lot are a bunch of arrogant presumptuous baboons who got no clue even about who your baboonish wives associated with last week
I think that goes too far. There's no reason to insult our wives other that to deliberately start a fight. We don't need that shit here.
And I'm not even married.

You know how to stop trolls from posting? Ignore them. why you guys continue trying to have actual discussion is beyond me.
