One only needs to look at my country of heritage, Greece.
How can you afford a government at all?
p.s.
When do we get our 300 million back that we lent you?
We might just take a few islands as compensation if you don't pay up soon

So, we got informed of the changes to our health insurance here at work. I'm paying a little more per week now, the co-pay went up a little, and the percentages that they pay went down.
I am literally paying more money for less insurance.
Hmmm, seems like the perfect time for an employer to pay less and for insurance companies to hike up their prices. So Obamacare gets blamed.
One of the problems I have with you lefties is that the wonderful things that you tell me that your policies are going to result in don't actually happen to me in real life.
You might wanna give things more time than a week.

Hello CS, here is what I have observed.
I work for a consulting engineers firm. Say a company like apple wants to build a new campus they would hire us. A team of us would design, hire workers, equipments, etc. These would be our subcontractors.
The laborers from our subcontractors work 3 days a week with absolutely no benefits. Before Obama got elected, these companies told their workers it was the union that prevented full time work. When Obama got elected they started telling their workers Obama prevented them from more work hours. Nowadays they tell their workers Obamacare is what is responsible for the lack of work hours.
The fact of the matter is its just cheaper for them to have a long line of workers waiting, hoping to get called and work for 3 days a week with no benefits at all. To keep the workers happy, hey have to come up with fairy tales, and the uneducated workers would believe them.
Every time I'm out inspecting and talk to these laborers, they always tell me Obama and Obamacare are preventing them from working more hours. When Bush was in, these same guys told me it was the union that didnt want them to work more hours.
You are falling into the same trap and believing in the same fairy tales employers make up to tell the unwashed masses.
I have a prety good plan. The new healh care law does not affect me in any way, so I dont really care either way. I'm just telling you what I have observed.
Employers like construction subcontractors never have their employees best interest in mind. Without regulations, they would work their workers to death. Thats what I have observed after having dealt with these companies for years. It is not a coincidence that many consevatives are dirt poor uneducated unskilled workers. They will believe whatever the big boss tells them. And right now the big boss is telling them Obamacare wont allow more work hours.

Oh, and they always invoke god for some reason. I havent figured this out yet.
It's to pass to the next guy, like on the news. It's just that it's easier to say "God" than to say "And now to Pastor James with more reasons why being bilked by the super rich is good for you...".
Easier. And a lot more deceptive.

Try reading and understanding the stories

I'm sorry. I know there are protocols & rules of politeness, but
I just can't feel good about Petrophysics booing you on this story.
What kind of hard ass would boo this story?
Really Petro?
Well maybe I read the story.
First part is about Ramoss's sister. We are told she can't get medication for over three months. Why does that kick up a red flag for me? Well if a person receives a controlled pain substance they cannot receive over a three month supply of that drug. My friend Dan has a pain medication for a clot in his right leg, he can only get 70 pills to last him 3 months. The reason for this is because the doctor and his insurance (the gov't at present) don't want him addicted to or totally reliant upon this controlled substance.
Is Ramoss telling us the whole truth here? I don't think so.
So now let's go to the tearfull story about Ramoss's niece.
Suppose I was walking across the street at a crosswalk, and I was totally competent, not intoxicated in any way. You hit me with your car and you are at fault. Do I need health insurance?
No, because you ARE going to pay for everything because you injured me. I AM GOING TO OWN YOUR HOUSE.
I know this and this does not match with what Ramoss told us.
So is the world true as I see it or is Ramoss not telling us the entire truth?
So I have come to the conclusion Ramoss is not telling the truth so he gets a Boo/jeer.
If you don't like it too bad!

Pontifications of a real Prick.
And Bullshit. Utter bullshit.
I might well own your house eventually, but that has nothing to do with whether or not I get the care needed now.
But guess what?
Not everyone owns a house.
Not everyone even has the money needed to sue those who do have houses.

Re: Try reading and understanding the stories
Gee not only are you a geologist, but it seems you are a doctor lawyer and seer too. Oh lets add idiot too.
The treatment for most arthritis is not prescription pain killers. Rheumatoid arthritis is treated with corticosteroids and drugs like Enbrel. These are not pain meds and they are extremely expensive. Can easily run 1000 or more a month without insurance. I know from experience how crippling rheumatoid symptoms can be. That can be and was for me a manifestation of sarcoidosis. So like most right wingers you are talking out your ass.
As for the niece you and we do not know the actual situation. To make the claim she must have been intoxicated is plain hateful and assholish. Even if she was, that is why people have insurance.
Go crawl back under your rock.

Who said it was a 'pain control substance'. It, actually, is a biogenic. It is not a narcotic. It is a once a week shot.
I have to say you are so full of it that it is unbelieveable.

Thanks
Thanks for all the feed back on my question. Now I understand it all a lot better.
It works so much different in my country: we have a system of proportional representation in the national parliament . The result (in theory) is that any party or individual getting 0.25% of the vote gets into parliament (total 400 seats). Unlike in the US, it leaves the doors open for lots of smaller parties to be represented. Lots of them are really, really crazy people, too. Just like in the US!
It seems as if none of these different democratic systems is perfect. They all fail in one regard or another. However, history has taught us that any democratic system is way better than all the non-democratic systems ever tried.

Yea i hope someday we get a direct democracy given the age of technology we live in it is already plausible to go to such a system the only problem are the old farts who are scared of computers.

First, remember that if it was not for us old farts you wouldn't have computers.
Second, you have gotta be nuts if you want a direct democracy. Really totally blindingly nuts.
Haven't you been complaining about the "crazies out there" all over this board?
