I've always been a math-n-science guy, and I never could draw or paint. I took art in high school (so I could avoid P.E.) and discovered a bit a knack for sculpting clay. I still have this skull I made that turned out really well... I have a thing for skulls (not just aesthetically, but they remind me of our mortality and that despite how spiritual we may feel, there's still just a big ol' rock in our heads). Anyways, carving pumpkins just comes naturally to me. I do one every year. The one in my avatar isn't even my favorite or best one. I'll see if I can find some others when I get home tonight.

I guess in keeping with my Star Trekkie theme, the Halloween 'counter' to my USS Enterprise avatar would probably have to be the USS Vengeance.

I could try to make it more Halloweenie, but that image of it barreling towards San Francisco would scare the crap out of me!
