Re: FUCK THIS SHIT
There's not much on earth as special as a dear friend. Just thinking about your loss makes me want to cry too.
I wish I had the right words to help, but here is a long distance hug instead.

Farewell Uncle Charlie
Lost an uncle to cancer this week.

Sorry for your loss.
I lost my Uncle Pat to cancer on Wednesday. I'm glad he had a good life!

Since your name has appeared again at the top of the board may we assume you've had the thoracotomy and all is well?

With my characteristic inability to follow instructions, I have crossed my unpaired appendages with chickens.

Update from what I know.
According to information I have, Asgara has completed the most recent round of chemo. The are still some concerns, but those are being dealt with, hoping they can be handled without surgery.
Not completely out of the woods yet, but moving in that direction.
quote:
They removed 4 cancerous nodes from the right lung. . They took lymph nodes from all around and they were all clean.
I know from the ct that there are more spots on the left again but doc thinks that after chemo they can probably do an ablation to get them.
She is home, resting and setting up for marathon DVD watching:

Re: Update from what I know.
Hi Guys
I have been following your fight with this horrible disease and I my prayers are with you.
About 4 weeks ago I was found to have a olfactory neuroblastoma which is as it turns out is pretty rare. There is a thumb size tumour up in my left nasal passage. I am now slated to have the tumour surgically removed, hopefully soon over in Vancouver. After that I will get a round of radiation here in Victoria to see that there is none of the cancer left. Studies seem to show a 5 year survival rate of about 70%, so I like my chances. It helps also that I am otherwise healthy and am just a kid of 71. (19 with 52 years experience.)
I am fortunate that they can do the surgical procedure endoscopically and it is unlikely that I will require chemo. I am so sorry that RAZD and Asgara are having to go through such a prolonged series of treatment. If all is well I should be through the whole thing in 5 weeks. I sure feel fortunate.

He has told you, O man, what is good ; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
