Re: Even the NRA Thinks Guns Are Too Dangerous for an NRA Convention
I don't think what you'd actually do changes what the NRA thinks you would do.
A pithy comment indeed.

Nothing will change what the NRA thinks.

Re: Even the NRA Thinks Guns Are Too Dangerous for an NRA Convention
They're probably worried about some crazy left-wing commie grabbing a gun and shooting up the place just to make them look bad.
Or maybe they are worried about the possibility of President Obama ordering a unit of armed Social Security Administrators to come in and confiscate all the weapons.
Kinda like how they do when they make those retarded signs and act like they're a part of conservative protests.
uh... sure Cat Sci. Like wing nuts aren't perfectly capable of making and carrying their own embarrassing signs.

You mean like this
quote:
Tea Party Hires Actors to Protest Everglades Land Buy
Tea Party activists are encouraging people to "stop the land grab" meaning stop the state from buying 46,000 acres of land south of Lake Okeechobee that environmentalists say would be critical to cleaning up the Everglades. Tea partiers held a protest yesterday at the South Florida Water Management District's West Palm Beach office but now screen grabs seem to reveal that the group hired actors to pose as protesters.
A screen grab provided by Progress Florida seems to suggest that a Fort Lauderdale realtor named Karen Donohue posted an ad to the Broward Acting Group, offering $75 for people who would hold signs and pose as protesters.

All those actors were leftists hired to mock the Tea Party protest ... oh wait.
Enjoy.

No worth it for just 2 hours of work. Now if they offered 8 hours or more, maybe.

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts
"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

Not really. You can make more money that that spending an hour teaching a 15 year old how to balance a chemical equation, and there is the added benefit that you don't have to sell your soul.
I'd have to be hungry beyond hope before I'd carry one of those signs.

Will Charges and Potential Convictions Change Gun Attitudes?
This appeared in the news today. The deputy accidentally fired his gun instead of his tasar:
And then of course there's the murder of Walter Scott in South Carolina. Here's the most recent item of news about it:
I wonder if those responsible for firearm deaths, intentional or not, are increasingly charged and possibly convicted of manslaughter and murder if it will begin to change attitudes among the pro-gun crowd.

The untrained 73-year-old "deputy" in Tulsa who got his title by donating stuff to the sheriff's office. Yeah, like he'll even go to trial. I've been to Tulsa.

White officer charged in South Carolina man's slaying won't face death penalty
By my reading of the aggravating factors in SC law, this decision is exactly in accordance with the law. I don't see a single one of the statutory factors that would count towards the death penalty. In fact the officer would not have been eligible for the death penalty under SC law if he had simply emptied his revolver into Scott at first sight.

Biker Fight
9 Killed in Biker Shootout at Restaurant
From the article:
"The interior of the restaurant was littered with bullet casings, knives, a club, bodies and pools of blood"
I think more guns is the answer.

Re: Biker Fight
I think more guns is the answer.
Absolutely ! Though we do need to make sure that it's more guns in the hands of the righteous - because we've all seen the films - a single righteous man (or really hot, martial arts kind of woman) can kill any number of really bad guys, without getting killed (or even badly wounded) him or herself, and without killing even a single righteous person themselves, by accident.
And you can't tell me them films aren't realistic !

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?
