Re: Things Ben Carson Doesn't Know
Ben Carson is not the originator of the believe that the pyramids were for storing grain.
Oh I didn't think he was. That doesn't make the belief any the less stupid however, imho.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Re: Things Ben Carson Doesn't Know
Ben Carson is not the originator of the believe that the pyramids were for storing grain. I suspect that a few people are actually encouraged to vote for Ben Carson because of his stated belief.
Maybe he just played too much Civilization II. The pyramids worked as granaries in that game.
To be fair to the man, though, he did say this 17 years ago. I'm sure he said enough stupid things last week that it's not necessary to go digging in the archives like this.

But he's standing by it now, 'cos it's in the Bible, which no it isn't.

Re: Things Ben Carson Doesn't Know
The Bible says nothing about grain being stored in pyramids. His church, which I understand to be the Seventh Day Adventists, does not endorse the belief that grain was stored in the pyramids.
Ben Carson also claims that he cannot recall Barrack Obama being subjected to tough scrutiny.

And another one bites the dust
Bobby Jindal has dropped out of the presidential race:

I wonder who might be next.

Geography lesson anyone?
Seems Ben Carson's campaign staff are a tad ignorant of the true geography of our own country:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/...-states-in-the-wrong-place
Excerpt:
quote:
As you can see, in Carson's map the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine are moved northeast by about 150 miles or so. Vermont and New York now have hundreds of miles of new beachfront property. Massachusetts shares a border with Canada. Maine straddles what is now the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

Jindal's Out
Let us bid a fond farewell to the Republican who's so anti-science he attacked volcano monitoring. Like volcanoes aren't something we might want to monitor. Also I don't think much of the horse he rode in on.

What? And have to import our lobster and maple syrup?
No deal. You're stuck with Quebec.
Now, if you want to talk New Jersey ...

Ringo don't wanna talk New Jersey.
Throw in Kansas: Wheatfields. Pipelines. Little resistance from the shell-shocked survivors of the New Conservative Paradise...
But only if they take New Jersey, too, or something that big, like Christie. Maybe a Dakota.

Things Ted Cruz Occasionally Knows
Here.
"We have welcomed refugees -- the tired, huddled masses -- for centuries. That’s been the history of the United States," he told Fox News in a video featured on Cruz's website. "We should continue to do so." He added: "We have to continue to be vigilant to make sure those coming are not affiliated with the terrorists, but we can do that."
Since last week's Paris attacks, the GOP presidential candidate has been a fierce critic of the Obama administration's policy to permit some Syrian refugees into the United States.
"It is nothing less than lunacy, Cruz said on Saturday, citing security concerns. "It makes no sense whatsoever for us to be bringing in refugees who our intelligence cannot determine if they are terrorists here to kill us or not."
