This is a topic where I ask the question whether the US and Canada should tolerate the small minority of intolerant Christians such as those who demonstrated against the US at the funerals of US servicemen and women who died doing service in Iraq. Shouldn't those people be deported? Coffee House please.

Deportation seems harsh. Seems like it given that we are talking about US citizens. "Deportation" would actually mean exiling them form the US! How about just a really bad snubbing?
Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Thoreau: Civil Disobedience (1846) History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Martin Luther King If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions? Scott Adams

Community service would be about as rich as irony and justice can get. Bringing Meals On Wheels to gay disabled vets sounds about right. Edited by Omnivorous, : No reason given. To paraphrase Gandhi, if we were intolerant of intolerance we'd all be deported.

We have what we have. But we shouldn't let any more in if, let's say, there are some wanting to immigrate here. As citizens, though, the ones already here have rights and cannot simply be 'sent away'. ABE: And no, we shouldn't tolerate them, wherever they may be. Edited by Jon, : No reason given. Love your enemies!

Made me recall this: "As some warn victory, some downfall Private reasons great or small Can be seen in the eyes of those that call To make all that should be killed to crawl While others say don't hate nothing at all Except hatred." - xongsmith, 5.7d
