Where exactly did I say that? You have a actual geologic/ environmental concern about fracking(sp) wells tell me what it is.
And I'll show how you are full of shit.
You may very well have more experience in such things than most.
But the way you talk about it, you come off as an arrogant windbag who just likes to hear himself talk.
Nobody believes such people, even if they're right about a few things.
If you want people to think about the things you have to say, perhaps you should think about using a different approach.

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
1.25 USD adjusted for inflation from 1981 is around 2.83 USD.
So gas is about 1.58 more per gallon today than it was in 1981 give or take a few cents.

Er ... wouldn't that be how much cheaper it is in real terms?
Pretty sure you're doing that wrong.

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
Percy,
You think what the article says and what the USGS says are the same.
They are not.
Is this opening paragraph from the article incorrect
Yes, it is.......this is the opinion of the "journalist" not the USGS. Read what the USGS says.
So if I understand you correctly, your point is that the article is incorrect to say that frackers pump salt wastewater deep underground?
Yes, and you have no idea how stupid what you are saying sounds. If I have drilling fluid or frac fluid i need to get rid of......no person running a salt water disposal well will take it........Why?...because it wreaks their well ......and then they are out of business. Read that again.....it is not about the environment it is about staying in business (BTW the two happen to be the same)
I have maps of the underground aquifers in our neighborhood from the local water management board, but I don't understand the relevancy.
Well if some moron is telling me fracking(sp) affects drinkable ground water....then they must know how far down the drinkable ground water goes.
You know if I'm fracing something 2 miles down, and the drinkable ground water water is only 750 0r 1000ft from the surface. You do understand no one is able to crack the rocks from 2000' to the surface much less 2 miles....you could get all the Halliburton shit in the world and you couldn't do this. Your argument like Faith's on the angular unconformity is based on a physical impossibility.
Aren't the people at USGS also geologists?
Yes, try reading what they said........instead of the journalist.

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
Taking what Petrophysics said in Message 95:
Petrophysics in Message 95 writes:
The price of gasoline was $1.45 a gallon in 1981..........my brother bought gas the other day in Denver for $1.29.
So doing the math (actually, DollarTimes did the math), $1.45 in 1981 dollars would be worth $3.97 today.
According to Weekly Denver, CO Regular Conventional Retail Gasoline Prices, last week the average price of regular in Denver was $1.93/gallon, and a month ago $1.52/gallon. If Petrophysics brother really purchased gas at $1.29/gallon anytime within the past month or two then he found a real bargain.
I'm not sure what point Petro was trying to make, but his comparisons would be more meaningful if made with average rather than bargain prices.

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
Hi Ringo, Jar, Ooh-Child, and Tanypteryx.
RingO writes:

Yes, you're absolutely right Ringo. I should not tar Hillary with the term "war criminal," exactly like I shouldn't tar Hitler with the same term. BOTH Hitler and Hillary, while ALLEGEDLY murdering millions of woman and children, have not been tried in a court of law. So sure, one HAS to give the benefit of the doubt about Hitler's and Hillary's ALLEGED war crimes.
For example, during Nazi Germany, maybe all six million Jews simply died, coincidentally at the same time, from some type of peanut allergy attack as they passed through the humanitarian health camps Hitler had protectively designed for them. Without a trial conviction, who can guess? Certainly not you, nor I. And maybe the countries bordering Germany suddenly and unilaterally compressed in size due to a fracking experiment that had gone terribly wrong, only to make it APPEAR Hitler had invaded their nations. Without a trial, we can never really know for sure. And besides, Hillary's ALLEGED middle-east victims were just dark-skinned foreigners. Nobody counts their demise as a real crime. Not even a misdemeanor, ain't that the truth Ringo? I mean, even an Iraqi mother of several children who died horrifically during a night-time marine raid, would just say, "M'eh, at least now I'll have a little more me time." Heck, the US military doesn't even count their deaths, period. Actually I am starting to feel quite foolish to even raise Bush Jr's invasion of another country based on lies as being "immoral." What was I thinking?
So thanks for correcting me Ringo. Hillary is not a "convicted war criminal." Like Hitler, she is many, many, many tiers down from that lofty accusation, just a simple everyday, run-of-the-mill "ALLEGED war criminal." Yawn.
Kudos Ringo, Jar, Ooh-Child, and Tanypteryx. Kudos.

Re: Hillary and Fracking?
I found this article on the webz.
Inflation Adjusted Gasoline Prices
Lowest Inflation Adjusted Price of Gasoline—

Date Lows
1931 $2.65
1947 $2.44
1972 $2.04
1998 $1.48
2009 $2.54
2015 $2.36
The average gas price adjusted for inflation since 1918-2015 is
2.64 USD
