Can you download?
I would suggest a multi step process.
AVG bootable anti-virus anti-malware.
Free Antivirus Download for PC | AVG Virus Protection Software
Then
Malwarebytes Cybersecurity for Home and Business | Anti-Malware & Antivirus
This does a good thorough check for malware.
AVG should detect most virus problems. Then the malwarebytes will do a thorough job at looking for other problems.
I run Microsoft Defender and Malwarebytes and never have an issue.

Re: In Defense of Us Luddites
Some quick comparisons. LibreOffice seems to be a little bit more advanced.
As always Oracle is the villain.

Re: Making bitrate attribute display a default
Not sure if this will help, but I find the best program to work with music files is Mp3tag.
It works with many music formats and allows you to look at, edit and organize tag info. I have a couple 100 gig on my drives. This program allows me organize the tags consistently. Bit rate is shown for every file. Much easier to use than windows file properties.
Also it is free. I have given Florian a few bucks over the years.

Someone I know has been unable to access his email ever since he got WIndows 10 and all kinds of helpers have failed to solve the problem
Now that seems quite unlikely. Unless the person is using an antiquated email system there is no way this could happen. Have them contact me I will help resolve their issue.
