Is there any point to your assertion?
Is there a point or value to your assertion? Is it really just turtles all the way down? Does it matter whether or not there is or was some first cause? Are we not more interested in what caused this accident, what caused this fire, what caused this banana to taste better than that banana? Re: Is there any point to your assertion?
But you are assuming that the explanation must be logical and that the first cause had to be caused? Other than your unsupported assertions is there any evidence the first cause had to be caused? Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Logically there can be no explanation because there is no first cause. There is only a first thing and it is uncaused. That is the point of the proof. But there can be an explanation; for example "The first cause has no prior cause." would be an explanation. "It is turtles all the way down." is an explanation. "Brahma slept and dreamed." is an explanation. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

How so? Is the topic not " A Simplified Proof That The Universe Cannot Be Explained"? If the universe is explained then would those not be other questions? Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

If the explanation is that the first cause had no prior cause is that not an explanation? Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

But that is not what he asked, and if the answer to any of those is simply that it has no cause then that is the explanation. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

But if "it just exists" is true then yes it is an explanation. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

quote: - It either created itself from absolutely nothing, which is impossible to explain - Or it was always there and had no beginning, which is also impossible to explain - Therefore, the universe cannot be explained Where: Universe = Multiverse = All of Existence
But you have still never explained why those things are impossible to explain someday? Or why there are only the two options? So I don't quite see how you really have anything!

Exactly. Unexplained things get assigned to the Unexplained category. Making up explanations like 'God did it' is simply childish, not honest and silly.

Re: What Does God Do?
Phat writes: But surely God has to do something. As a believer, what would you imagine GOD to do? Create universes and ignore His beloved pond scum? Why does God have to do something? You still are not addressing the differences between belief, knowledge and reality.
