It does word documents, spreadsheets, slide shows, draw and all can be saved in microsoft formats just as all microsoft documents can be openned and used in Libre\Open Office programs.
What about excel documents that use VB programming to do stuff, is that also compatible/convertible?
Can you do the same VB stuff in Libre spreadsheets as you can in Excel?

But I'm sure that Windows 10 has not fixed the big problem of how badly they broke the search utility when they went from XP to Win7
All I've ever noticed is that the Win 7 search function is basically useless when used on "My Computer".
But... if I ever used it on, say, "Drive C" or some other specific folder... I found the Win7 search to be much better and faster than the WinXP search ever was.
Which does make it very annoying when searching for something on multiple drives or anything like that... but, meh, such is rare for me.
Is there something specific you're talking about that is broken with it? Just wondering if all my searches are missing something

Plus you could specify a range of dates for when that file was last created or changed
Ah, that does sound like a useful (although possibly niche) feature.
They broke it, so they need to fix it!
Yes!!
Which of course will never happen.
Yes..
And now it's time for my favourite line as a programmer:
It's not how I'd program it
