Bloody nearly missed this one. Get you gin and tonics ready. End of the world? Doomsday believers predict the apocalypse And I've just done next week's shopping.....

The "end of the world" again???? Armageddon real tired of this! Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. Heinlein In the name of diversity, college student demands to be kept in ignorance of the culture that made diversity a value--StultisTheFool It's not what we don't know that hurts, it's what we know that ain't so--Will Rogers If I am entitled to something, someone else is obliged to pay--Jerry Pournelle If a religion's teachings are true, then it should have nothing to fear from science...--dwise1 "Multiculturalism" demands that the US be tolerant of everything except its own past, culture, traditions, and identity.

Film at 11. What if Eleanor Roosevelt had wings? -- Monty Python One important characteristic of a theory is that is has survived repeated attempts to falsify it. Symposium to follow.
Great! What are we drinking?
Now to explain the joke. Symposium means "getting together to drink." When I Google'd for the definition ( symposium definition ), Google immediately came up with three definitions, one of which was:
quote: a drinking party or convivial discussion, especially as held in ancient Greece after a banquet (and notable as the title of a work by Plato).
Decades ago, an old friend from high school had been reading a lot of philosophy books, including Plato's "Symposia". When I (a language major, primarily German but including seven other languages plus a few more on the side) told him what "symposium" meant, the light suddenly turned on in his head, "So that's why the first part of Symposia was dedicated to planning which wines they'd be drinking and in which order." Having never read that work myself, I just took his word for it. Edited by dwise1, : Added HTML to divide the two sections

OMG that means that 0 is divided by 15 not 14, putting the end of days on the 30eth of February 2017. p.s. If we assume that the waiter also ate some brad from the leftovers, and drank the wine left in the coup then it fals on the 31th. Edited by frako, : No reason given.
