It's not about the brothers. This whole thing is about selfish people who want to make as much money as they can using communal property. The brothers were a thin excuse to act like big shots.
Funny how people ranting about the Constitution (IMHO the rule of LAW) ignore the legal process because it doesn't give them the answer they want. Don't they have a member of Congress to represent them? At least one in the House of Representatives and two in the Senate. Don't they have lobbying groups to represent them? Are they blocked from the Federal courts?
So what do they do? They show up with guns and threaten violence.
To me a major foundation of our nation is the rule of law not guns.
Do they want to go down the road of a huge chunk of the Third World? Do they want a nation run by whoever has the most guns?
Bundy keeps making statements about listening to the locals but they're still there after locals loudly told them, to their faces, to go away. The goofs keep inviting more armed strangers to this area. How would you react if armed strangers took over the house next door and publicly invited more random strangers (unknown even to the first group) to move in?
I love the fact that the one guy drives into town for supplies in a government truck. Using tax payer gas and putting miles on a tax payer owned vehicle to save his own money. THAT'S what is important to these guys - THEIR money and THEIR fame
They tear down a length of fence between the refuge and the neighboring ranch, Did they ask to rancher what he wanted? NO. Like a bunch of stupid teenagers, they tear apart something just to tear it apart. The rancher had to reinstall the fence himself.

Re: Ryan Bundy Declares Himself An 'Idiot'
So if Nevada and Oregon are not part of the US then they must still belong to the Native Americans, right? They had possession before the US got the land (no comments on methods). Did any Bundy pay or otherwise compensate the Native Americans for the land they overgraze?
I love the way the sovereignty people use Interstate Highways, US dollars, the banking system, the post office, expect protection through the police and courts, etc. but don't have to live by the laws they don't like or pay taxes.
They must have been spoiled brats as kids because they are now.

Re: The prosecution lays out its case
27. i receive mail at P.O. Box 7447, bunkerville, republic of nevada [89007] as right and not as a privilege nor benefit of contract; i am without evidence to the contrary, therefore it is so; and,
Ummm.... He RENTS a PO box which has a contract, paid for with US dollars, and willingly interacts with the US Post Office. What an ass.
28. i am (primary) citizen of Heaven... i intend to, at all times, to return to Heaven...
73. i am not in receipt of any evidence in fact that i am a 'flight risk'...
Did you just say you're a flight risk?

Re: All of their filings support a plea of insanity.
If I was on the jury & read that document, I would think rather than insane, the Bundies are self-centered, selfish, and spoiled brats.
They want candy for dinner.

Re: Bundys victims of Constitution-violating government tyranny
I will try to the referencep later but my memory of all the Bundy crap is that not only are they not paying but that the federal rates are below private and state land rates. That's why the locals were against the take over of the refuge to try to turn it over to the states.
