I'm enjoying a course on ancient history on my local Christian radio station so thought I'd post information about it. It may be too "Christian" for some but it's predominantly on the historical facts, with some Christian worldview framing.
It started some weeks ago with the Creation, Flood etc., and traces the spread of cultures from the "Table of Nations" in Genesis 10 and 11. It's packed with historical information I expect would be new to most people.
Today was on the civilization of the Indus Valley, mostly focusing on Hinduism and related religions. I missed yesterday's but day before was about how the ancient civilizations were connected by famous roads and how they contributed to the spread of culture: "The Silk Road" was fascinating. Monday's will be about Alexander the Great.
The course is given by pastor and prolific author, George Grant, purchasable on his website
here or you could hear it on the radio as I am doing,
here -- it's aired three times a day. See left hand column. Times are Pacific Daylight.
