I am emphasizing, however, that Scientific Methodology is no substitute for philosophical musing. Just because you cannot or will not allow yourself to speculate...building on what he said or she said....does not mean that we must dismiss philosophy based on its failure to adhere to scientific methodology.

You have that backwards. Philosophical musing has no value except in areas where science has nothing to work with - and even then its value is questionable.

Hey, say that to all those exploration and mining companies. Try philosophy to them while doing aeromag or drilling holes or something like that. Word salads. Modern philosophy is like believing in Thor.
