How do you know the addition of greenhouse gases beyond that which already exist warm the planet?
This is discussed here. Enjoy.

They correlate but carbon dioxide level increases always follow temperature increases.
Not this time.
Usually people die and then are buried, but that doesn't mean that if you buried someone alive it wouldn't kill him.

That would be plausible if that were the only heat transfer mechanism in our atmosphere. These co2 molecules don't hold onto their absorbed IR and wait to release it until they reach a level in the atmosphere where the radiation can escape into space. Almost immediately after co2 molecules absorb IR, they collide with nitrogen and oxygen molecules and transfer their added heat to them. It's all of these collisions between molecules that transfer heat that really are responsible for the delay in releasing radiation to space. The amount of time co2 molecules are involved in this train of transfers are miniscule and irrelevant.
So, please try again and explain how extra co2 warms the earth.
It warms the Earth in the way explained by the nice physicists and not in the way that you made up in your head.
To be more precise: after a CO2 molecule absorbs IR, it almost immediately emits it again. The point is that it absorbs IR coming up reflected from the Earth's surface, but re-emits it in all directions.
Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

Baseless declarations. Prove that radiation leaves co2 almost immediately after absorbtion before the molecule makes contact with another molecule.
Well, the molecule can indeed also pass on its energy by collision with another molecule. And again there is no tendency for this energy to be passed on upwards through the atmosphere in the direction that the absorbed IR was going.

You do realize the oceans emit carbon dioxide when they warm....the warmer, the more co2 emittance. You see a fairly smooth rise of co2 compared to a very jagged record of actual temperature. In short, the co2 concentration is rising because of warming oceans.
But if this was what was going on, then the concentration of oceanic CO₂ would be going down. But it's going up.
If it's increasing in the atmosphere and in the oceans, where can it be coming from? Could we perhaps be emitting 40 billion tonnes of CO₂ per year by burning fossil fuels? I think that might be it.

The problem with this topic as always is that the science just isn't clear enough to prove anything. The guy in the video is very convinced that he's arrived at a scientific conclusion from his studies that proves there is global warming (he's using that term instead of the more equivocal "climate change" which is interesting in itself), and that human activity is the cause of it, and he sketches out the theories his study eliminated which leaves this conclusion. But while I'm sure he's sincere it's basically all just his own assertion, his own conclusions, and there's just no way for a person to assess whether his study really did cover all the possibilities, really did include all the relevant information, really did prove what he says. There are others who sound just as sincere and just as aware of all the variables, who disagree with him about such scientific basics.
Well, you could look at the information yourself. You don't just have to listen to people saying "Yes it is", "No it isn't".
So there's global warming. Isn't Planet Earth subject to long-term cycles of warming and cooling according to current theory?
It is, but what of it? As an argument, that's kind of like a Holocaust denier saying "But don't Jews die of natural causes according to current theory".
