I can't help but think of Charles Manson being denounced by his children:
Everything God made was good, He said so."But everything I did was good. You guys screwed it up."

Funny how you think "irrational feelings" have anything to do with evidence and reality. The concept of gods is irrational to begin with, whether they exist or not.
Funny how for people who think evidence and reality matter so much to them, when it comes to this it's their irrational feelings that call the shots.

That's an old joke: Why are you hitting yourself with that hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop. Without evil, can you really have good? Wouldn't it all just be a bunch of meh? I think a lot of people would prefer the meh - i.e. not hitting themselves with the hammer, even if they'll never know the pleasure of stopping.

Would a politician who ignored the gross injustice in the world be worthy of your vote?
So God is a sick bastard because of gross injustice in the world? What would a God who is worthy of your worship do about it?

The OP assumes the existence of God, so that IS the ballgame. You are assuming God is ignoring injustice. Once God starts to visibly intervene, his existence is beyond doubt. That changes the whole ball game. Everyone would believe. So feel free to answer the question: Would you vote for a politician who acted (or failed to act) like God?

"Ignoring" means not doing anything, even if there are good reasons for not doing anything.
God existing and allowing injustice does not mean he is ignoring injustice. It could mean there are very good reasons for him allowing it. foreveryoung writes:
But God IS responsible for creating the world. You have a low opinion of a God who can't do anything without creating more problems.
A politician is not responsible for creating the world. He has powers to do things about problems. I've also noticed that some of the laws passed created to alleviate problems create a whole new set of problems. foreveryoung writes:
Oddly enough, it's usually the right-wing nuts who "don't want the government to do anything" who are pressing for more totalitarian measures.
So, I would probably elect the politician who sat on his ass all day over the guy arrogant enough to think he can make a difference without turning this country more totalitarian than it already is.

If I met God I'd ask him about the mechanism that caused Eve eating a mango to change the lion's teeth and digestive system.
All animals and mankind was originally vegetarians.

No. If any gods existed they would not get to define rationality. It is what it is. I would imagine that IF GOD existed, He would have created and thus defined the very definition of rationality... Why do believers insist on redefining rationality, love, etc. to include God? Why not just concede that gods are irrational and hateful and insist that they're still worth following?

Introducing Mr. Donald Trump. Ask me whether or not he attempted to act godlike in 3 years. Would you vote for a politician who acted (or failed to act) like God?

But why? How can I grasp what you can't explain?
What you can't seem to grasp is that God by definition does get to define rationality, logic, reason, and reality itself. Phat writes:
As I've said many times before, I'm using YOUR definition of God. YOU define Him as a lesser Being.
What I will assert, however, is that humans don't have the ability to define God except as a lesser Being than themselves. Phat writes:
And yet you DID define God, giving Him the right to define rationality, logic, reason, and reality itself. How do you know that the "real GOD" doesn't define Himself as less than His creation?
My point is that GOD (The One who actually exists) is bigger than yours or my ability to define or to describe.

At least that would be a useful God.
I suppose if God was defined by a doting Jewish Mother He would be a teacher who allows his students to correct him so that they could learn to grow up, become ever increasingly responsible, and become good Doctors.

That's a good example of meaningless rhetoric. How could anything possibly be "useful" to God? What kind of puny weakling "god" would need to "use" us?
God is not meant to be useful for humans. We are meant to be useful for God.

If we're the ones doing the doing, we don't need Him to "use" us.
Its not that He needs to use us. H uses us for our benefit. He wants to use us.
