Of all the places to find a nugget Vanity Fair seldom made it to my search list but today one short paragraph did catch my eye. I guees you can't get more alternative media than Vanity Fair:

So far Donald Trump has been named in over 50 Federal case lawsuits in 17 States between being sworn in on January 20th and February 1st.
For Obama the number was 3 while Bill Clinton and G.W. Bush were named in 4. That is a HUGE number.

I said that was from Vanity Fair but simply Googling "Trump named in over fifty lawsuits so far" will bring up many, many, many, many, many, many references to the story. It is NOT under reported.

There is no need to trash Trump; he is doing a great job at just that. All that is necessary is to honestly report what he does and says and what his henchmen do and say.

that's just silly. Sure, I don't doubt there are people out there that hate Trump but personally my reaction is far from hate, it's far more incredulity. My reaction is constantly "Can you believe he actually said something that stupid?" or "Can you believe he actually did something that stupid?" or "Is it really possible that he is really as clueless of legality and morality as he seems?" or 'Isn't there anyone around him that can point out that he is wearing no clothes?"
Is he really simply surrounding himself with nothing but gutless sycophants?

You may have noticed that every one of your examples was also found and reported by ... the main stream media. And in fact the news that the stories were fake was widely reported in each case.
Trump though continues to produce fake news with every public speaking instance. The man seems incapable of either telling the truth or (as happened in the examples you mentioned) acknowledging that what he says is fake news.

The problem is not so much with the mistaken claim but rather with his response and explanation...I heard a story on Fox News....They let in all those immigrants and now crime is way up.
I do not doubt that he heard a Fox News Story but it seems that once again what he heard was FAKE NEWS from Faux News. But get serious. Do we want a President who get his state of the world briefings from Faux News?

I was thinking about an earlier work, Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies That Led to Vietnam where he castigates the Military leaders for not standing up to the President and Secretary of Defense when plans were a failure.
