Re: More evidence of the horrors in Europe for you all to deny
Can I ask, even if any of this were true, why is this "The horrors in Europe". I mean if something happened in Uruguay I wouldn't call it "The crisis in America".

Re: More evidence of the horrors in Europe for you all to deny
What I mean is, I have noticed a tendency to lump all of Europe together as if it were some mega-county, when something happens in Norway, let's say, I'll often see right-wing American media outlets say it shows how "Europe is spiraling out of control".

Re: More evidence of the horrors in Europe for you all to deny
I'm just following the terminology on the videos.
I should have been clearer actually, I was referring to the tendency in general rather than your use of it.
Besides, hasn't the EU sort of made it all a "mega country?" Isn't that the whole point of the EU?
First of all, several countries in Europe are not part of the EU, Norway being an example.
Secondly, there are enormous differences between EU member countries at the legal level and even larger ones at the cultural level. They are simply not one "mega-country" in any realistic sense. Of course all the countries do have a politco-economic union now, but they are a long long way off from being like states in the US.
However I understand how it might seem like they are sort of a single country. I could go into more detail on how they are not, if you want.

Re: More evidence of the horrors in Europe for you all to deny
I'm sure you know and I don't, but I don't really see why it matters much.
If I said "Canada and the US are the same country", it wouldn't matter much, but it would still be factually incorrect, same here.
Those seem like rather academic points considering what a big brouhaha Brexit made
I don't understand this line of reasoning. Britain leading was highly controversial yes, that still doesn't mean the countries in the EU are close to being a single nation. I don't understand how the reaction to Britain demonstrates that the countries are effectively one nation.
That they are not one nation, or even close, follows from looking at their laws, not looking at popular reactions to one of the nations leaving.

Re: Some more evidence of Muslim problem in Europe you can all deny
I'd like to think that's common in Europe because the impression I get is that Europe is politically correct to the point of suicidal.
Again! What European countries, which newspapers in those countries? Where does this impression come from.
I get the feeling when you say "Europe" you mean your impression of France, Scandinavia and maybe Britain.
Edited by Son Goku, : No reason given.
