Re: Summary on PC
The haughty moral certainty of it, the willingness to destroy the opponent.
If I had seen only that part, I would have thought it was about the Republicans and perhaps even about Newt Gingrich who started a lot of this nasty stuff.
But you cannot see that possibility. You are blind to problems coming from the right.

I'm accused of racism although it's ideologies I hate.
Christianity is an ideology.

Why do I have to put up with opinions about me personally that I find so odious and false?
Yet you started this thread for the purpose of expressing your own odious and false opinions of a lot of decent people.

America no longer exists. EvC is evidence.
The America that you are talking about has never existed, except as a figment of your imagination.

Re: Russian ambassador talked to both Hillary and Trump, not about election
According to this Russian representative there were meetings between the Russian ambassador and both Trump's and Clinton's people, and none of it had anything to do with the election.
This isn't particularly relevant.
Everyone understands that there are legitimate reasons to talk to the Russians. If Trump had legitimate reasons, he could have said so, and indicated the reasons. Instead, he lied. He denied meeting them. The problem is this pattern of lying that looks like a cover up, and looks as if he has something hide.
And the pattern of lying has continued.

Re: Witches Casting a Spell Against Trump
Trump WON. He's the President. Who voted against him is now irrelevant according to American tradition. According to that tradition the outgoing President and his administration graciously leave the field to the incoming administration.
And that has all happened. So where's the beef?
This civilized practice has been violently discarded by the Left in every possible way since Trump won.
Has it?
I see the left exercising their rights to free speech. And I see them filing court challenges when they believe that Trump has exceeded his authority. These are entirely proper responses.
But there are levels and degrees of witchcraft.
Oh! So this is all about witchcraft.
When somebody says they will use witchcraft, the proper response is to laugh at their foolishness.

Re: witchcraft among other attacks on Trump
You guys -- nwr, NoNukes -- really ought to keep up JUST A LITTLE with the conservative side of things, a few minutes of a few radio talk shows now and then maybe, check in with Drudge or Breitbart maybe, or at least WND or Newsmax, just once in a while, because all you know is the leftist side of it.
Oh, I have done that. Those sites have made dishonesty and misrepresentation into an art form.
The court challenges are unprecedented and illegal too.
If they were illegal, the courts would have rejected them.
It is also unprecedented that the previous President would stay in Washington, as Obama has, just a short distance from the White House, and that we hear his opinions on what Trump is doing from time to time.
And yet I hardly ever hear from Obama. He seems to be trying to keep out of the public eye.
In 1985, I was working in Chicago. I took a job 60 miles west of there. I kept the house in Chicago and commuted to the job, because I did not want to interrupt my children's education. I eventually moved house after the youngest graduated from high school. Obama is just doing the same sort of thing for his children.
What really bothers me, is that you call yourself a Christian. Yet you have a total disregard for truth and honesty.

Re: ...
Punishing Christians for acting on their religious beliefs is a violation of the First Amendment.
The first amendment:
quote:
Congress shall make no law ... prohibiting the free exercise [of religion] ...
Which law are you suggesting has prohibited the free exercise of your religion?

Re: ...
You did not provide an example of where the first amendment is violated. I shall take that as indicating that you do not have an example.
The Left/SCOTUS treats the public school system as the equivalent of Congress in its denial of religious practices on school property, which itself is a prohibition of the free exercise of religion in reality, and now you are saying that a law that prohibits Christians from acting on our beliefs, that came from SCOTUS, as usual usurping the role of Congress, doesn't count as prohibiting Christian freedoms.
This is just nonsense.
You clearly do not understand the first amendment. It does not give a religion free rein to do whatever it wants.
If a particular religion had a requirement that the first born son must be killed on his 12th birthday as a sacrifice to the Gods, the first amendment would not prevent that from being considered a criminal act of murder. The laws on murder apply to all, regardless of religion, so banning murder is not a restriction on freedom of religion.
Likewise, as long as school policies apply equally to all, regardless of religion, they are not a restriction on the freedom of religion.
