Perhaps if we assume that the whole physical reality is simulated on the great supernatural Computer, we get the simplest idea of what life is.

The universal quantum ampitudes/tendencies are the Data Structure, being updated (reduced) after every registered Event (a "move" of the "Game", according to Feynman) by the Physics low-level software.

Now, as for the Events themselves, they are created by the high(er)-level software - which is Life.

Every creature is an instance of a Life program - it works as the creature's "Soul" - costituting one live object together with the physical data of the body.

The most important property of any Soul program instance is that it is / can be controlled by one (or more) of the Players of the Great Computer Game. We experience this property as the unfathomable depth of ourselves.
