Christian terrorists never get media coverage. Like in Kansas.
There was just a Christian fundi, in a Kansas town that is surviving & rich due to talented immigrants, who shot at two Indian engineers who were dining in a restaurant.
At least one person died. I read the story in a recent Bloomberg Business issue, I can try to dig it out of my mess here in my room if anyone wants details.
The guy was caught in another town bragging about killing "Iranians" then he was reported. The article says that Indian immigrants are very often killed, not because of Christian hatred of Hindus, but because they are mistaken for middle eastern folks, which the article pointed out as a terrifying concern Indians have.
Indian Americans aren't a well defined target, and the Christian opinion of them is a murkier issue than the clearly hateful attitude towards Muslims.
The community of the Kansas town expressed remorse, the police chief attributed the murders to the "fallen world ", but I sense a larger problem that isn't getting addressed.
Why are western nations constantly attacking Muslim nations?
What about the endless murdering of the non Christian immigrants?
Back in Nebraska, I had several Arab Americans tell me about the verbal attacks that they got in stores after the attacks in late 2015. Most were devout Christians (both the white people attacking them, and the actual Arab Americans being attacked ). My one workmate tells people he is "black and Mexican ", as most Arab Americans say to protect themselves. If they can't hide it, then they will advertise the fact that they are Christian. Often it is the first thing that they say when a conversation starts.
Sad.
Muslims aren't safe in fundamentalist Christian American.
They are a target for sure.
But don't dare call it terrorism.

Faith writes:
The problem with Trump is that he isn't a political wheeler-dealer. What you see is what you get. That kind of sincerity can look buffoonish at times of course, but what a breath of fresh air to have a real human being in the Presidency, flaws and all, instead of a polished plotter like most of them, and a human being who really does care about this country, really does care about the Constitution, particularly the freedoms it grants citizens of the USA for whom it was written.
Trump has now re-attacked the mayor London in yet another brainless and factually wrong, juvenile tweat. Once might be a mistake, twice is deliberate.
Let me say that again, your President attacked the mayor of a city that has just had a terrorist attack. What a wanker he is.
The US Ambassador to the UK tweeted what friendly governments are supposed say in times like this:
quote:
I commend the strong leadership of the @MayorofLondon as he leads the city forward after this heinous attack. — LLukens 3/3 https://twitter.com/MayorofLondon/status/871270734835965952
And then came under attack from the Trump lobby himself for supporting a Muslim.
Your president is a disgrace to your country

Re: Trump undermines his case(?).
Didn't the Mayor of London recently say something like how people are going to have to get used to terrorist attacks or something like that? I realize that's not what he said in this particular instance.

Re: Trump undermines his case(?).
What??? He actually said this:
quote:
Sadiq Khan has said he believes the threat of terror attacks are part and parcel of living in a big city and encouraged Londoners to be vigilant to combat dangers.
The Mayor of London revealed he had a sleepless night after the recent bombing in New York, and said major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things to happen when people least expect them.
That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice, Mr Khan told the Evening Standard shortly before a meeting with New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

There is no $110 billion arms deal!
Donald Trump’s presidency is fake news
quote:
... the very same day as Trump’s pantomime bill signing, Brookings Senior fellow Bruce Riedel announced that the administration’s much-ballyhooed $110 billion weapons deal with Saudi Arabia is, in fact, fake news.
There is no $110 billion deal. Instead, there are a bunch of letters of interest or intent, but not contracts, wrote Reidel, citing contacts in the defense business and on the Hill.
Many are offers that the defense industry thinks the Saudis will be interested in someday, he added. None of the deals identified so far are new, all began in the Obama administration.

Dude we know. The freaken russians most likely hacked the election and Comey fucked up what chance Hillary had with that tremendous idiotic rehash of the email scandal. Couple that with the millions that just flat out hate the Clintons and then add to that the millions of Dems that wanted to vote for Bernie. Hillary lost because in truth although she was the "anointed" one from the DNC she had to much baggage to ever win.
I felt disenfranchised as hell this last election because I did not want to vote for Hillary but I did because the alternative was too horrific.
And yet here we are. Every single pundit on election night eating they're words and wiping egg from their faces.
I blame the American people for Trump. We made him and now we must endure him.
Sorry World we suck.

Hi Jar.
I do not doubt the U.S. will survive DT.
It is just a shame he ever got the presidency imo.
He is scum and possibly seriously crazy.
The GOP have lost all credibility. How can they sit by and watch this monkey show go on? How damn tiresome it must be to have to justify all the monkey show antics day after day. Paul Ryan must be on some serious meds. I can just hear the morning call now: " He tweeted what?.....he did what?? " Ok we must spin this shit somehow to coincide with our message.
I suppose at the end of the day we should be thankful he has not somehow managed to alienate the world and cause our allies to doubt our ability to maintain classified intelligence.
Wait..dont tell me.....

Re: Trump undermines his case(?).
Scum and possibly seriously crazy? I really do not get this view of Trump at all. He's the first politician in years to put into words what most conservatives think and that's why he won. I guess you think we're all scum and possibly seriously crazy? Hatred of Hillary might have been a factor but the biggest factor of his winning was the positive views he expressed about what the country needs in the way of economic recovery and security. The biggest problem we have right now isn't Trump, it's the Left's determination to destroy him, which is the most amazing and ugly thing to ever happen in American politics.

I suspect that they're waiting for a wake-up call from the 2018 elections. Depending on how hard they are hit, they will begin distancing themselves from Trump, so as not to lose the Presidency, the House AND the Senate in 2020.

Actually I would put it simply that il Donald is not fit for polite company and a far greater threat to the US and other nations than all the Islamic Terrorists in the world.
