The working class has been seduced by capitalism to the point where the most lumpen of the lumpenproletariat think they're "capitalists". The Confederates who fought for slavery were mostly too poor to own slaves and the strongest proponents of capitalism are also the poor.

You're attacking a strawman of Marxism, so yeah, it kinda does. I'm not making an issue. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

When we talk about Paris, we don't pronounce it, "Pa-REE." When speaking English, I don't think we're obligated to fake a French accent or a German accent. I think "FREED-rick" is a perfectly acceptable pronunciation.(Though it does grate on me when a certain German philosopher's name is pronounced "NEET-shee".)

I've corresponded with Wurmbrand. I think he was sincere. I wouldn't call him a "nutjob" but he definitely had a paranoia about communism. Like many people, he confused communism with the Soviet system - which has more to do with endemic Russian paranoia than with Marx. Tsarist Russia was the same and post-Soviet Russia is the same.

Correct. Just like you confuse communism with Satanism and "Leftism". Sometimes people use a label like "communist" or "Christian" when it isn't warranted.

But removing your ability to enslave doesn't make you a slave. I have no idea whether my grandparents were "legal" or not. Western Canada was a wild and wooly place a hundred years ago. I doubt if anybody could tell legals from illegals. I do know that my mother's parents lived on both sides of the 49th parallel from time to time so they might have been legal on one side and illegal on the other. Well, Marxism favours the rights and needs of the workers over the arbitrary laws and borders that the rich use to protect their wealth. Only a Marxist would call a brown cow a cow. Seems fair.
