No Faith, I said the guys remarks only mean that some person is alleged to have made that remark.
Which reduces it to meaninglessness. Duh.
Yup. That's the point. It's meaningless.

It's a right-wing magic incantation. "Politically correct, "fake news,... and problems with their worldview disappear without being addressed.

Re: Political Correctness again
Political Correctness can be boiled down as respect for others. Sometimes it's taken too far, but mostly it's common courtesy.

Re: Political Correctness is engineered class hatred
Marxist whitewashing propaganda
Another magical incantation!
If it were true at all, how do you explain the way Christianity is vilified by the Left, or now "white people?"
Easy. It isn't happening.

Re: Political Correctness again
Leftist lie.
Boy, you've got an unlimited supply of magical incantations to avoid addressing issues, don't you.
It seems likely you're fooling yourself, but you're not fooling anyone else.
Edited by JonF, : No reason given.

Re: Political Correctness again
Your ideology ends up advocating murder.
Prove it.
Kicking the poor in the face?
How should we describe killing tens of thousands of poor people per year so that the rich can have more money and not help the economy?

Re: Political Correctness again
Then stop accusing people of "kicking the poor in the face," because that is an invitation to murder.
Not at all. I can't see any connection whatsoever between those clauses.
At most it's an invitation to address the reality of what the GOP is attempting to do to the poor.

Another incantation to avoid addressing issues! Charming.
That's not what is going on.
The GOP health care bill as currently envision would cause tens of thousands of preventable deaths per year among the poor and middle class. Fact.
And it gets even worse when you look beyond the ten-year window the CBO is restricted too.

I did, and replied to it. Yeah, something horrible happened in Rwanda when one group was considered as evil by others. That's not necessarily the result of every time someone considers someone else evil. There were lots of other factors.
How do you describe unnecessarily killing tens of thousands of Americans so the rich can have a tax cut (which won't do the economy any good)?

Re: Political Correctness again
That is not a fact, that's a lie.
More incantation.
Prove it.
The link between health care and mortality is well established. More health care, less mortality. Less health care, more mortality. The GOP intends reducing health care significantly. More people will die of preventable or curable causes.
The Relationship of Health Insurance and Mortality: Is Lack of Insurance Deadly?:
quote:
About 28 million Americans are currently uninsured, and millions more could lose coverage under policy reforms proposed in Congress. At the same time, a growing number of policy leaders have called for going beyond the Affordable Care Act to a single-payer national health insurance system that would cover every American. These policy debates lend particular salience to studies evaluating the health effects of insurance coverage. In 2002, an Institute of Medicine review concluded that lack of insurance increases mortality, but several relevant studies have appeared since that time. This article summarizes current evidence concerning the relationship of insurance and mortality. The evidence strengthens confidence in the Institute of Medicine's conclusion that health insurance saves lives: The odds of dying among the insured relative to the uninsured is 0.71 to 0.97.

Can't come up with some fresh enchantment? You have to re-use an old one?
No, it's not a lie. The GOP tax cut will cause many deaths. How do you describe unnecessarily killing tens of thousands of Americans so the rich can have a tax cut (which won't do the economy any good)?

Re: capitalism
People and companies vary. Some capitalists are "good", some are "bad".
Note that the Trump administration is dismantling worker protections.
Capitalism is the best system for creating wealth and benefiting society in general.
Does not follow. The real world indicates that managed capitalism is the best. We tried unconstrained capitalism in the Gilded Age.

Hey, howzabout those quotes? Are you ready to admit that nobody has said there is no evidence of collusion? Do you really think that someone would say something so stupid when they could always be known as "the moron who said there was no evidence a week before the smoking gun showed up"? And what about the developments of the past couple of days?
The Time I Got Recruited to Collude with the Russians
GOP Activist Who Sought Clinton Emails Cited Trump Campaign Officials (Bannon & Conway?
There is evidence. It may turn out to be unreliable although I personally think it's just the tip of the iceberg. But it exists, and it's enough for an investigation to let Americans know what really went on.

Re: capitalism
gnoring misrepresentations is easier on my physical and emotional health than making an issue of them
Yup, it's really easy to stay locked in to your right-wing bubble of hate and fear.
None of the claims you said were lies were indeed lies. You think that calling something a lie makes it a lie. It doesn't.
You are the perfect Republican. Unhesitatingly swallow whatever crap the feed you, never notice that they are earnestly working against your best interest.
I hope that nobody you care about is on Medicaid. Half of the people in nursing homes are. Over half the babies born in the US are.
And Medicare is next on the chopping block. Paul Ryan has gleefully said so.
But you will continue to vote for them and spread their lies and ignore reality.

Christianity has all the principles needed for humane reform
Ever going to start using those tools?
