The whole subject provides me a lot of amusement.
The party for which I normally vote for in Aussie, the Liberal Party (LP), is considered to be a centre right conservative party. When I vote in SA the party I normally vote for is the Democratic Alliance (DA), which is considered to be on the radical right by the official Government and licensed journalists allowed to report, even though the LP in Oz and the DA in SA have very similar policies on basically everything.
Essentially similar to the Conservatives in Britain, the CDU in Germany and the Republicans in France.
If I could vote in the US, I don't think I would vote for any one of the mainstream parties. Both of those in the US would be considered to be on the radical right in most of the western world. They both are too right wing for me, anyway.
