Your connection of the olive tree with "forests" didn't make any sense at all. My saying the forests would have been uprooted doesn't imply every single tree on the planet had to have been uprooted. Besides, I was just reading some commentaries that say the olive tree would not have been the only tree left living, that it must have been among many fruit trees that emerged after the Flood. Seeing all the complaints that turned up on the discussion problems thread I have to wonder why more of that wasn't reported there before. I haven't followed DavidJay much, beyond some posts on the Messiah thread, but to me it's annoying when there are a lot of one-liner posts calling someone a liar. That's boring and annoying. It should all be taken to the Discussion Problems thread IMO.Seems to me DJ says a lot of indefensible things, but the lying everyone is complaining about is mostly his refusal to acknowledge the opinions of opponents. It's lying, yes, but it's mostly a strategy, a bad one but a strategy.My opinion is that he should be warned, and if he doesn't shape up after a couple of warnings then suspend him.Meanwhile we could use a lot less of this calling people liars no matter what the provocation.

Insisting that a person "hates" someone is not the same as showing that leftists can't think. That is a lie about personal motivation that specifically contradicts what I've actually said over and over and over. This is slander pure and simple. Any time you attribute to God an opinion that is consistent with His own word you are speaking for Him and anyone who knows His word can speak for Him. What do you think preachers do? They speak for God, they speak God's word. Prophecy is the word for speaking forth God's word. to call that blasphemy is terrific ignorance, even a form of blasphemy in itself. Apparently you aren't familiar with the difference between "saying" prayers and praying, Phat. Saying prayers is what Catholics do, they recite prayers such as the Lord's Prayer, sometimes they are told by the priest in the confessional to say it over and over some particular number of times, or "Haii Mary," examples of what scripture says are the empty repetitive prayers hey think are heard but aren't.
