As for "religion" being some kind of special problem, I'd point out that the Jews and Christians are the victims in these current cases, so not ALL religion is the problem.
Cobblers - the terrorists were not discriminating in Barcelona, they ran down anyone in their path, young old, all religions and none.
And as Mod pointed out, the idea that Jews could avoid being attacked by Muslims by emigrating to Israel is hilarious.
