That government needs to be leveled. It's a human rights issue for me.
And how do you do that without millions of deaths in Seoul?

It's not enough to bash in heads, you've got to bash in minds

Fox News Poll: Trump tearing country apart
This Fox News report on a Fox News Poll contains the following tidbits, quoted verbatim:
  • Voter satisfaction with the direction of the nation is down by double digits, as a majority says President Donald Trump is tearing the country apart.
  • The number of voters happy with how things are going in the country is down 10 percentage points since April and stands at just 35 percent.
  • [Trump's] job ratings are increasingly negative -- and 56 percent feel Trump’s tearing the country apart, versus 33 percent who say he’s drawing the country together.
  • About two-thirds of Republicans feel Trump is drawing the country together (68 percent), while 15 percent say tearing the country apart and 18 percent are unsure. Nearly all Democrats (93 percent) and over half of independents (59 percent) say Trump is tearing the country apart.
  • In addition, a record 55 percent of voters disapprove of the job he’s doing as president, while 41 percent approve. That’s a net negative by 14 points and his worst score to-date.
  • Since[February 2017] he’s lost the most ground with conservatives (down 7 points), Republican men (-9 points), and whites without a college degree (-9 points).
  • His worst marks are on race relations (33-61 percent), where disapproval outweighs approval by 28 points.
  • Overall, by a 70-13 percent margin, voters think Trump dislikes the media more than white supremacists.
  • With the controversy heating up across the country, voters by a 2-to-1 margin think Confederate monuments and statues should stay up (61 percent) rather than be taken down (29 percent).
  • Fifty-eight percent of Clinton voters say they’re losing sleep since Trump took office. On the other hand, Trump voters say they’re sleeping better these days (62 percent).

Re: Fox News Poll: Trump tearing country apart
This Fox News report on a Fox News Poll contains the following tidbits, quoted verbatim:
Just like every other poll, this one reveals a core support among most Republicans, who view things through a completely different lens than do independents, Democrats, and a small but growing number of republicans.
What is not visible in the summary, but is apparent in many other polls, is that the large body of Republican support is eroding. It is gone from the 90s to mid-70s over time and represents most of the day light we are seeing between the 40 percent level earlier in the year and the 35% approval level we are seeing right now.
If Trump can manage to handle hurricane Harvey without a "great job Brownie" level gaffe, perhaps he can stabilize the current downward trend. After all, a president's job during a natural disaster is almost entirely PR as long as Congress does not make a buffoon out of itself, and FEMA with local authorities do their jobs.

I don't give a crap about your eyebrows. Other than making idiots feel good, futile gestures are worthless. The problem remains. You are arguing that if the South Koreans are taking silly actions, then the US should too. This despite the fact that futile gestures only help the NK dictator maintain his grip on his country.
I am going to have to review your posting history. If it turns out that it is replete with more of this same kind of nonsense, I will know whether I am wasting my time.

Trump's Nominee To Be USDA's Chief Scientist...
Here is an article of interest: Trump's Nominee To Be USDA's Chief Scientist Is Not A Scientist
Unbelievable! Why on earth would the president nominate someone with such adversarial credentials? Does he want to pick a fight with common sense?

Re: Fox News Poll: Trump tearing country apart
Wakee wakee
He has done that with each of the Science related Agencies and also cut their budgets.
How about appointing someone who made a career out of suing the EPA to head EPA?
How about telling NASA to stop looking back at the Earth and only look to the stars?
How about cutting the FEMA budget?
Look at the current US Gov EPA website.
Note "We are currently updating our website to reflect EPA's priorities under the leadership of President Trump and Administrator Pruitt."
The website is being updated to reflect political dogma instead of reality.

Re: Fox News Poll: Trump tearing country apart
It will be interesting to see how the current bureau will reformulate the message of that website! I looked at the old website, still available through links:
Climate Change
Let's focus on just this issue. What will the current administration emphasize in regards to a proven scientific topic?

Maybe we can get a town hall meeting with the president, the chief "scientist" and a room full of high school and college science instructors.

Where we can see the future
What happened in Houston was certainly a tragedy and we need to try to help those who are suffering BUT much of the tragedy was man made, predictable, recurring and self inflicted.
Houston grew as quickly as it has, as large as it has and during that time zoning has been repeatedly voted down as have building requirements. Farm and scrub land was paved over replacing dirt to absorb water with asphalt and concrete to retain water.
The people of Houston chose to allow virtually unregulated expansion and construction.
I listen to those poor folk shocked that their house got flooded when it became necessary to lower the water in the dams; but that is simply wilful ignorance on their part. I feel for those who do not have flood insurance but come on, Houston floods every time it rains.
The issue is whether or not Houston and other areas learn a lesson. Will they take the unpopular position of changing where folk can build, how folk can build, how roads should be built, including emergency and disaster preparedness into the initial planning and construction requirements?
