Re: Messianic Passover

In 1 Corinthians 5:7 Jesus is literally called "Christ our Passover."
The trouble with literalists is that they don't know what literal means.
In Corinthians, Jesus is figuratively called our Passover. When He is called a lamb, it doesn't mean that He literally has four hooves and wool. It's figurative.
It means He's kinda like a lamb, He's kinda like the Passover.

Re: Messianic Passover
Faith writes:
Of COURSE it's figurative.
And yet you called it literal.
Faith writes:
The trouble with critics of the claim to literalness is that you take it way too literally.
Well, it does mean literal, literally. Figurative is not literal.
Faith writes:
... what is meant is that we read the bible as it is meant to be read.
And it isn't meant to be read literally. It's full of figurative language. You just misuse the word "literal" to try to justify taking fiction like the Flood literally.
