Politicus Maximus
I loved PM.
I was never quite sure why it disappeared. It didn't have a lot of topics, but that didn't surprise me given how young of a place it was.
I'd certainly sign back up if it ever opened!
And I may not have too many skills, but if manpower is a problem, I'd be willing to lend a hand where I could.
As far as names go, I thought it was perfecticus maximus.

Re: Should Politicus Maximus be given a fresh start?
You might want to start with a more controversial site name - Democrats versus Republicans, for example, or Liberals versus Conservatives, or Political Revolution, or Revolutionary Politics, or Citizens in Revolt, or 99% versus 1%, etc
As I recall, we had a sort of vote here, and Politicus Maximus won. As for Dems v. Reps and Libs v. Cons...the first is very US-centric but the second might be useful...as long as none of those darn centrists try to barge their way in.
The 99% one would seem to indicate a focus on fiscal politics or even get swept up with the occupy movement, meaning many would write it off, or it may get taken over.
I kind of like Political Revolution...though it would necessitate an overhaul of the theme...maybe more 1700s versus 70s

Re: Should Politicus Maximus be given a fresh start?
Whats the current expectation in 2014? Has D-Board been upgraded to the max? Will Politicus Maximus ever see daylight again?
(Find out next week! Same Time Same Channel! )

When I use a word, Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone, it means just what I choose it to meannothing more nor less.

Any Plans To Redo Politicus Maximus?
I was just thinking about that site, and wondered if you had any current plans.....

Check This Out
One alternative option is that EvC Forum could have a Politicus maximus Forum. I suppose that coffeehouse serves that function already, however. I wonder if a Politicus maximus Forum by itself would catch on or whether social media has caused all forums like this one to be less popular....
Add by Edit: It looks like somone else had a similar idea... Politicitis
Edited by Phat, : No reason given.
