Cash Cow or Golden Calf?
David Green, 75, has a personal fortune estimated at 6.3 Billion Dollars. His son, Steve is on the board of directors. Everything I've seen about this project speaks of 501 C3 tax exempt status, which will allow the Green family and other investors to write a large portion of their donations off. That's probably also why the family linked up with wealthy Catholics and Jews to house exhibits pertaining more to their respective religions. The jury is still out regarding the accuracy of the information within the museum, but I expect it isn't as biased as Ken Hams Creation Museum.

More from N.P.R.
NPR had an article today (Veterans Day November 11th) on this new museum.
New Museum Invites Visitors To Engage With The Bible
Perhaps ringo can get sponsered privately to fund a Long John Silver Museum!

Re: More from N.P.R.
I think the board compromised a bit with both the wealthy Jewish and Catholic donors...but they got the donations needed to build the place.

Re: More from N.P.R.
But if they tried to have a display with the Mormon tablets on it, the museum would become simply a sacred studies institute, rather than an anthology of anthologies museum.
One could argue that Mormons are not Judeo-Christian.

I'm not sure anyone could actually argue that Mormons are not Judeo-Christian but certainly they could make that assertion.
To argue that position you would need evidence.
This gets back to our discussion on what is a true Christian. You had a supportable argument indicating that anyone could claim the title and that no group that claimed the title could be excluded. Faith would argue that this itself is evidence of a war between ideologies, absolute truth vs relativism, good vs evil.
I would say that the war is real, but cannot really make any absolute truth statements regarding such a war without evidence. Only at EvC is evidence the barrier to having an unchallenged and absolute belief. It makes it hard to have any argument whatsoever. In order to reduce my cognitive dissonance, I can only tell myself that my beliefs are a sacred issue between God and myself and that I cannot impress others at this time.

Re: More from N.P.R.
there is no evidence of a war between ideologies, absolute truth vs relativism, good vs evil.
Are you sure about that? These days the media wars are more heated than ever, and while some people have honorable motives, others seek power and control. The honorable people don't seem to be winning.
