What's frustrating about you guys is that you don't think what the Bible SAYS is "enough" - you have to make up a lot of garbage like original sin and blood sacrifice to confuse the issue. The Bible SAYS those things: original sin is in Romans 5:12: for by one man sin entered the world and death by sin; and blood sacrifice is in Hebrews 9:22: without shedding of blood is no remission of sins. Unless you read it correctly.

I know it didn't say what you think it says because Jesus couldn't make a mistake like that. That's all I need to know. Therefore it is to be understood some other way. Either it refers to the Jews as a whole as "this generation" or it refers to the generation at the time of the prophecy's fulfillment. I have no problem because I know who Jesus is and whatever He says is true. We are to read the Bible in the light of all its parts and revelations and Jesus is infallible. Period.

the word "week" is a translation of the Hebrew word for "seven." It doesn't take a lot of thought to figure out that it's referring to years in batches of sevens.

You can't understand the Old Testament without SOME basic respect for how the Hebrew language is used.

The best translations take into account the way Hebrew is used because often its meanings are lost if a flatfooted translation is made instead. Hebrew has all kinds of conventions that help bring out its meanings and a good preacher will explain these things.

Who said Jesus wasn't susceptible to sin?

You are wrong about that, but in any case this wasn't about ambiguity. I was answering your claim that Christians made up original sin and blood sacrifice rather than relying on the Bible. They are both unambiguously in the Bible.

Jesus never did anything that was not absolutely perfect and correct. He never lost control. His anger was always righteous and correct. Accepting the perfume was a way of saying He was worth it all. The poor you will always have with you but me you will not always have with you. He is worth ten thousand million alabaster boxes of the costliest stuff. The way you denigrate His noble actions and words is positively nauseating.

You don't know how to read the Bible and eventually it is just a tedious futility to try to debate you.

He did no wrong as a SINLESS PERFECT MAN, not as God.
Yuck, I can't take any more of this right now. Blech.

The fig tree couldn’t offer fruit because it wasn’t the right time of the year. Why get angry at the tree for that ? It’s not the tree’s fault. The main explanation given for why Jesus would have expected fruit on the fig tree even though it wasn't the right season is that fruit appears before the leaves on those trees and they saw the leaves from a distance. But I don't care what the explanation is. If everybody here has to keep finding fault go ahead and keep finding fault, it's your loss. I know the Bible is God's word, and I know Jesus is never unrighteously angry and never does anything wrong, so I know it makes sense even if I don't understand how, and there are many things I won't understand simply because I'm not personally familiar with the culture and the times. Nevertheless good teachers include that information in their preaching so one learns a lot of it anyway. But trusting what it says is the only right way for a believer to read it, based on knowing it is God's word. The amazing, I mean amazing, glorious, beauty and truth that unfold from it when you simply trust it is something unbelievers will never know, and I feel sorry for you but less sorry as time goes by and you all continue to prefer your nitpickery to God's truth. As I said, it's your loss. And I know from painful experience here that it doesn't matter what good information I provide on any subject it will be trashed and do you no good anyway. "Blaming the tree" was just a teaching method.
Yes I will go on believing the truth and feeling sorry for those who refuse to believe it.
