The humorous part is you thinking you have a clue what might be in such a book if it existed and your continued attempts to just market the dogma of your cult rather than addressing the topic.
That passage is about the LAST JUDGMENT of all the dead human beings who come before God's great white throne.
The fact that the last judgment of all the earth's deceased has not YET occurred is not a matter of "failed prophecy".
I don't have to claim knowledge of everything that is written in said book of life. I only have to believe in the consequences of someone's name NOT being recorded in the book of life.
Right?
Right.
And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened;
and another scroll was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by the things which were written in the scrolls, according to their works. (Rev. 20:12)
... and they were judged, each of them, according to their works. (v.13b)
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (v.14)
And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. (v.15)
What is important is not that I know or claim to know everything written in the book of life. I am told about the result of something NOT written there, ie. a person's name.
And at no time did I insist I KNEW that your name was not there. Put that strawman away.
There is no hilarity associated with me thinking I KNOW everything written there. I never claimed that. And there is nothing amusing, as far as I can see, about being warned that it is best to have one's name recorded there.
That is unless you prefer eternal departure into a lake of fire. That can't be good.

I don't think Revelation is a lie, just that it is all simply failed prophecy that refers to events the author expected to occur almost 1900 years ago.
Name me one failed prophecy from the book of Revelation then.
Events that have not YET occurred as prophesied is not an example of the book's "failed prophecy".
Point out - HERE'S the prophecy in Revelation.
Point out - HERE'S the failure for that prophecy to be fulfilled in history.
