Re: Raking it in...
That can't possibly be a bet as Trump always says the most stupidiest things. Evah! Stupedialism.

Yes, it's a bad time for democracies with Trump around.

Re: The House Democratic Platform
Percy writes:
Close the revolving door between politician and industry, where former politicians go on to serve on the boards of major corporations, in effect selling their Washington connections and influence.
That must be stopped immediately. I remember Bill coming to Sydney and charging an arm and a leg just to talk nonsense while on the boards of quite a few major Aussie corporations just because what he was. It should be illegal.
Bill should be rocking in an armchair somewhere in Arkansas.

Re: Trump on Climate Change
I don't know. A more descriptive characterisation would be that the US can't be relied upon. Their latest President is just too unpredictable for anything.

He's good at inheriting things, though.

Last night I saw what The Don said to Nancy somewhere in the White House with the cameras around. Something about getting the Government not to work because they don't want to fund THE WALL.
It's just amazing that nobody reminded him that his promises were that Mexico would pay for THE WALL. Not the American taxpayer.

Re: Trump on Afghanistan
Yeah, he didn't make any sense. Maybe someone should ask him whether he thinks Stalin was a Russian or a Georgian? I think that would blow his "mind".

I must admit that it is quite entertaining to watch in the rest of the world. Like some episodes of The Kardashians.
You really hate them for making so much money for really doing nothing except for talking; yet lots of people watch it.

Re: Foxconn in Wisconsin
Goodness gracious me. It sounds so much like a platinum mine in my country where poor people were solemny promised jobs and gathered around a hill. Lots of them were shot by the police. Marikana.

Re: Interesting USA Today Poll
I've been watching the spectacle in America on various channels for the last few weeks. I was in what we call the bundus. No internet connection, but satellite tv is available everywhere. What I really got from it was that, every time The Orange Thing appeared saying something on tv, there was tumultuous laughter. Coupled with great curiosity about what The Orange Thing wanted to say.
I also understand why Africa looks at China for leadership. No clown as a leader.

Re: Further Out of Hand
I agree. We should.
Is it a crime under American law for a any AG to tell blatant lies to everyone in the world, in reports, on television, etc. in order to cover the crimes of a President? Telling lies just to keep on misleading the stupid people who just support him, come what may?
