I know the limit is once every 8 weeks or so. Just theoretically speaking. Suppose you donate every other week or every week. I think they take a pint out of you each time. In order to counteract the low hemoglobin count as a result of this, you take iron supplement.
What happens to your body then?

If you say the word "gullible" slowly, it sounds like oranges. Go ahead and try it.

Re: Its The Blood.
No.
I knew about the hemoglobin level dropping, which is why I preemptively said assuming I take iron supplement to keep y iron level steady. Beyond blood iron level, or hemoglobin, are there other health effects?
OK, I'll be honest. I've been experimenting with this. Been donating every 2 weeks. Still go to the gym 5-6 times a week. Still benching 120-130% of my body weight. Still running several miles at a time. Don't feel tired during the day at all. Every time I donate, hemoglobin level still holding steady at 13.4 or so. 13 is the minimum allowed. I just went to a check-up and everything is normal.
So, after donating every 2 weeks for 5 months, I'm not feeling any side effect. Since this forum has no shortage of academics, I'm wondering what health problems I'm suppose to encounter with my experiment?
And no, I'm not telling my doctors. This is so far strictly for my curiosity.

Not getting paid to donate.
About experimenting with this, the reason behind it is a long story. I'll talk about it when I'm in front of a computer and not just typing with my phone.

My husband and I are health freaks. He cooks the best healthy meals. For example, we had spaghetti last night using spaghetti squash as spaghetti. Tomato sauce with turkey meat.
