Good news today
My biopsy came back benign.
The catheter is out and I will soon be trying out some new plumbing, hopefully without screams and bloodclots.

Re: Wishing you all well
so tired.
weak, no energy.
walk across the room, out of breath.
Starting regimen 4 for the past year, the last 3 each taking a chunk out of me, but barely touching the cancer.
No sores, except aches and joint pains. a struggle to dress, make breakfast. thankful for partner to pick up slack, an angel.

And We Hope To Talk For Many More Years
Do they have a better prognosis for #4? I know that thoughts and prayers is a lame cliche, but if I send positive thoughts your way, it will also help me take my mind off of myself. Hopefully, you can gain some time. ( I've really respected your encouragement and detailed topics throughout the EvC years, and I always believe that a eulogy should be given to a fellow while they are alive to hear it. Many Lurkers & Trolls benefitted from your wisdom. I've never seen you be mean to anyone, especially me. You have carried yourself well.
We won't give up just yet. You have a few things left to do and experience. Also, may God Bless your Angel!! She is likely stressed out by all of this as well, as is your family and extended family here. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we all appreciate you and want to do what we can to help you. We love you, RAZD. We all will travel the same road that you are on and hopefully encourage others as you have done for us. Be at peace and do your best! It's amazing what some fighters can accomplish in the final rounds!
I would be grateful to even be half as strong as you have been. We look forward to more inspiration from you...but get plenty of rest first.

Dammit, RAZD, get a juicer, drink two or more quarts of fresh carrot juice a day one glass at a time, and have a giant green salad too.
abe:
Adding celery and an apple to the carrot juice may improve its flavor if you don't like it.
I hope you're taking a lot of vitamins. One thing you need is super megadoses of Vitamin C. Amazon has Sodium Ascorbate powder that you can put in fruit juice by the heaping spoonful. At least two or three thousand mg a day but some people do twice that. Amazon also has strawberry extract powder which is supposed to be a good anti-cancer food. That and the C in fruit juice every day could help.
I know you aren't a fan of this kind of thing but it's all good food and what can it hurt? It might even help. At least improve your strength for dealing with the standard treatments that are so hard on a person. In your place since those treatments aren't working I'd stopthem myself, but at least I'd add the nutrients to them because they could offset the negative effects.
Yeah I know I'm a pain but I'm wishing you the best.

Would you like your razd subdomain moved over to the new server?
Yes please -- the links to it from threads will work?
Thanks

Update - intermission
To bring all you lovely people up to date,
My current treatment involves two therapies, one a pill I take at home the other an infusion done at hospital.
The pill I take one a day for 21 days, then 7 days off (the intermission), then repeat. It hammers me, and by day 21 I have almost no energy to do much more than read small bits. I am now on day 5 of my first intermission, and am amazed how much energy and interest I have regained -- been getting out some, instead of being housebound. The effect had built up so gradually I hadn't really noticed it. Monday I start round 2.
The infusion I get once a week for the first 3 weeks and then once a month. Just finished the third one, so next week I get a free day. Whee.
The other symptom/s of my lymphoma is that it is producing a lot of liquid that gets lodged in various places. First in the lung cavities between lung and surrounding tissue, reducing my ability to breath. This happened first in my left lung and now in my right. I get it drained regularly, and the left has pretty much stopped, while the right is getting less. Unfortunately I am left with ~20 to 30 % permanent loss of lung capacity due to scar tissue buildup, and it will take a bit of cycling to overcome that.
Then it filled my right leg with (lymphodema) fluid, and medication to address this can cause low blood pressure and fainting. My normal blood pressure is already low (110/65) so that is out. The solution we found is to put on my cycling tights and push back on this liquid. In two days I lost ~8 lbs, which is about what a gallon of water weighs, and the leg looks much more normal.
Overall I feel okayish today. Weight now down to 145 lbs for first time since high school, so some muscle buildup is recommended, and I have physical therapy 4 days a week.
So if I fade away again, look for me in ~28 days.
Enjoy

Re: Update - intermission
You also need about 20 ninja proteins each day. Fortunately they are easy to ingest and they're free.
Unlimited supply here. Take what you need.
