I'm not so sure as to how many people in this forum play any games at all but I thought I would throw this one out to you all. It's called Spore and it's a video game for the PC and Mac made by the developer of the Sims, Will Wright. In this game the player creates a creature, starting as a single celled organism, and slowly guides it allong its path of evolution, making changes to it each step of the way. You start as a single celled lifeform, but eventually you go onto land as a multicellular lifeform. Then you eventually gain intelegence and enter a tribal phase, then a civilization phase. Eventually you become smart enough to leave your planet and explore the galaxy. Everything in the game is created by people all over the world and it shows an interesting perspective on the universe itself. The full game comes out September 7th while the Creature Creator is avalible today. The Creature Creator is $10 for the full version but there is a free version for download avalible at http://www.spore.com
Please remember this is a game, not a simulation for evolution. Also if your a creationist, don't say you won't play this game based just on that, you do create the creatures along the way, I have always believed that this was the way God did it, by using a natural process such as evolution to make what he wanted to make. Anyway its a great game for all so just try it out, great family game, even if you don't play games you'll love this. the creature creator has a free version that works great and runs on allmost any computer. if your having problems with it I suggest uninstalling EA's Download Manager and it should run fine.

When i first heard about this game i was thrilled, because i though that it would utilize natural selection, and you actually designed youre creature by designing its enviroment.
Then... it turn out, that all you do is collecting "DNA Points" and then you can sort of 'buy' funny ears and long arms..
I wont be playing this, this is nothing new, even though it gets hyped as such.
